If football goes D-II (not non-scholarship), can they keep the rest of their sports in D-I? Will they have to drop all sports to D-II?

Agree! Last hurrah for the PAC 12. Really sad it is the last season.

Are coordinators signed to multi-year contracts or are they one year deals? If a new Head Coach comes in and wants to change the staff, are the assistants and coordinators paid for years to come or are they under contract ‘at the will of the head coach’?

This is a water under the bridge question… if DeBoer had been hired 10 years ago as UND’s head coach, how many here believe he would still be here? What would the ceiling have been? As an example, if his typical good season was 7 wins, would he still be here 10 years later or would he have been asked to find another gig? On the other hand, from looking at his records at Fresno and Washington, would UND have made deep runs into the playoffs and then DeBoer move on (like, dare I mention, Bohl and Klieman) leaving the program in the hands of his protege or entirely new blood? Just frustrating that Bubba is being given 10 years to rinse, repeat… Have said this before, and believe it to be even more true after the way the Hawks finished the season, post NDSU. Freund is not the answer. The whole staff needs a re-tooling.

Was that Tommy Schuster in a Broncos uniform? Or was Danny Freund calling the Broncos’ plays? The passes seems to be mostly wide-out screens. Didn’t connect on downfield throws until the end.

NDSU signed 3 girls, including the ND Class A and Class B individual champions. 1 of them is a daughter of a friend who attended UND that has won about 90 junior and high school titles. Where is Coach Kroetsch? Did he try recruit these young ladies?

Will offense have to score on (almost) every possession? Not very confident the D can hold the Yotes to less than 35.

I know it is water under the bridge at this point, but watching what DeBoer is doing at Washington or Vigen is doing at Montana State, you will never convince me that a team has to take a backwards step when there is a coaching change.

Montana State Kicker puts a 35 yard attempt 35 yards right of the goalposts.

Seriously? This is the discussion 2 days before a Bison game? Could this be the first D-I year that NDSU loses to all 3 Dakota schools? How long has it been since that happened?

What would be the chance that if UND wins this weekend, that Bubba would feel that mission is accomplished and it is now ok for him to sail off into the fundraising mode of his career? Or, on the flip side, that another ‘bad’ loss may lead to someone (or several someone’s) stepping up to buy out the rest of his contract?

How could the decision makers NOT know that UND would have to eventually follow the XDSUs into FCS? And how could they NOT know that would put UND way behind them? You would think Roger Thomas would have been screaming to not let UND get left behind, instead…
