Has there been an official announcement?
-
Olivera with another 100+ yard game and a receiving touchdown. Heard one of the announcers say “it’s Brady Olivera time” on a short yardage situation

A really random question… if the B1G would add only Stanford, would that make the B1G more appealing to Notre Dame? The B1G would then have most of Notre Dame’s long-time rivals except Navy.
-
So, if the networks are willing to pay more on the B1G and Big XII contracts to add the PAC12 schools to those conference payments, are Stanford, Cali, OSU and WSU so bad that the networks were not willing to pay the PAC12? I know I am showing my age, but what has happened to NCAA sports with realignment, transfer portal, NIL, and the endorsement of biological males competing and showering with biological females (funny, there is not a problem the other way, only men in women’s sports - what happened to Title IX?). Not to even bring up forcing (only some) schools to change their nicknames! Will common sense ever return to college athletics?
-
Isn’t the MWC already a 12 team football conference? 11 basketball plus Hawaii fb.
-
Wouldn’t it make sense for the B1G to now add Stanford and Cali at a reduced share a’la Oregon & Washington? Have those 6 as a western pod. (6 of the old PAC 8) Would reduce travel for Olympic Sports, yet allow for cross-division national matchups. Also would lock up California…

The Mountain West was formed by 8 schools splitting from the 16 team WAC. Would those (now 12) teams be willing to form another 16 team conference? The PAC 4 doesn’t have a large enough media package for MWC breakaway schools to recover their exit fees. Read an article that said the MWC’s media package was better than the PAC’s. Sad times for college athletics fans in the western third of the country.

Yeah, still a pretty significant ‘empty’ between the Dakota 4 and the Montanas.
-
This is why the Dakota 4 and the Montanas must stay together. As the previous President of the U of Idaho said, there is a large gap in the FCS map. The problem is travel and small population/viewer base.

WWSVS? *What Would Sioux Volley Say? RIP Sioux Volley, but we miss your insight

So now that Colorado to the Big 12 has been announced, and since I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night… What is the real benefit of mid-major FBS over FCS?
-
Where? I really think the Dakotas, Montanas and Idaho missed the bus when C-USA was raided a couple years ago. Those schools should have lobbied hard for C-USA to add a northern division then if the Dakotas were ever going to go FBS

I think this validates what UND-FB-FAN is saying.
-
That works.
-
Not UND, but Cleveland Browns did a nice job picking their new logo hidden in the logo: state of Ohio football east end zone C (for Cleveland) guitar pick (for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame) 8 spikes for 8 NFL Championships Guardian Bridge Dog Pound helmet worn by fans center stripe of Browns helmet can UND come up with something like that?

Schuster #14 QB Belquist #14 WR Ventrelli #18 OL

Gee, thanks. Now I can’t get that song out of my head.
-
New Mexico State on line 2…
-
The “best” hope for something like this would be if the PAC 12 loses almost everybody except Washington State and Oregon State and they rebuild with most of the MWC. Then whoever is left in the MWC takes the Montanas, Idaho and reaches east to the Dakotas.
-
No to the terrible blue football field. As long as you are dreaming about getting a MWC school, how about Colorado State instead of Boise?
-
I think this is what he is referring to… https://usdcoyotesports.proboards.com/thread/2163/summit-league-expansion?page=49
-
UND should have stayed in the Big Sky.
-
So how much would the PAC 12 have to distribute to get USC and UCLA to change their minds? Know it won’t happen, but guesses? It would be offset by less travel.
-
Honest question, ‘cuz I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night… What is the difference between UNI, UNC and UMKC and Omaha? Aren’t they basically the same except they are located in large cities, so the city becomes their name rather than UWM (University of Western Missouri) and UEN (University of Eastern Nebraska)?
