Hockey is boring on TV. Can be fun in person from my few experiences. Papa Bear tells me that when our family lived in Forks(too young to remember or was not born) in the late 80's and early 90's that you could walk up before the game and get tickets? Was it just student seats that were hard to come by or did he just happen to always pick games that weren't hard to get tickets for? I feel your pain on the human stampede. They suck. And hurt.

E.) Get the charges dropped because the state of North Dakota loves the Bison.....and then probably take that girlfriend of yours out for a nice seafood dinner....and NEVER call her again.

I believe the point he may have been making is that the Grand Forks Police Department generally stays out of UND's way.

I was unaware Bohl or Taylor commented on these guys(no longer on the team of course) skipping out on their community service. Please show us the link where Taylor and/or Bohl made an excuse for skipping service hours. This doesn't reflect well on the program but not much can be done about them. They aren't at NDSU anymore. And honestly, no one outside the area probably knows or cares about this.

A.) how long ago was that? B.) much bigger venue(can't imagine NDSU has had trouble getting 10,000 butts in the seats in a very long time) C.) tough to remember much after all the tailgating people have gotten the last couple years

For now, it kinda has. The dominant team is going to have more posters than others....when YSU was doing well last year, they had a lot of fans come out of the woodwork to AGS, til their season tanked.

Meh, minor compared to the original charges. Kinda forgot about the resisting arrest thing. Wonder what'll happen with that.

Each school should do whatever they want obviously, but in all seriousness, AGS is the biggest collection of FCS fans from multiple schools. Pretty good barometer of the country as far as FCS ball goes.

Not just Bison fans who think stuff like this is hilarious. Delaware I think it was did a similar thing a couple years ago and got made fun of on AGS.

You mean having him suspended indefinitely? Haven't heard any complaints about that...except from people saying he shouldn't get suspended when he isn't even in any legal trouble.

As an outsider, our defense was not any good in '09(infamous 3-8 NDSU season), took some big steps forward in '10. Not impossible for UND to do the same, but we also had a huge 2010 class who has become our best class since the mid 80's. Even in 2010 our D was not stellar, took the big step forward in 2011. Anything can happen. Should be another fun season of football!

I dont think SDSU has it in them. Don't get me wrong, they play solid football, but any team that got beatdown by UNI last year, probably is not going to be good enough to beat Nebraska. Best chances for a big upset would be the others. Depends if EWU can play defense.....depends if NDSU can slow down the run and run the ball. Should be yet another entertaining FCS/FBS week or two of football.

Well, I believe Notre Dame is around 10,000 students and they get all their football games broadcast.

Certainly worked. Doesn't hurt in coincided with the recent success though. Keeps things more organized.

I can tell you that my freshman year at NDSU they tried getting us to do some new cheers and stuff. Failed miserably.

Don't know anyone proud or happy we are playing a D2. Moreso relieved to have filled the Montana State game.

I'm not super into hockey. I follow it enough to know who some of the big name guys are. Thought it was weird right away when I saw he left that much money on the table but after looking a little into it, seems like he is going to just play in Russia and be similarly compensated for his work? Thoughts?

Tell ya what, I was raised to see the football team here in Fargo as something special and all that. I have never been in any real trouble other than I got a minor. Its the summer, good time for good natured ribbing. I will counter with...when NDSU goes on runs, our guys tend to win multiple titles.

Since when has UND had a premier program? I am pretty sure they haven't won anything in years.... Fun fact. If NDSU cut football, and UND continues winning national championships at their current rate, it'd be over 900 years before UND finally caught up to NDSU in football championships.

UND and premier don't belong in the same sentence buddy. Wasn't the Taliban still in power the last time UND won anything?

Tough to call a team winning championships a mess. Now...a team who cant get students or fans to show up....regularly gets embarrassed...that is a mess.
