THIS. I can confirm this because I see the same teams on a regular basis as well. SDSU is no cupcake and it looks like they are starting to click. For those who don't know they just went in to 6-1 Nevada and came out with the win. BTW CSU and CU are both terrible teams this year; not even top 25 FCS.

I think 3-4 or 4-3 is a fair assessment, but then again this is a tough comparison and purely speculation. However, I do know that 7-0 would never happen, not with our defense!

5 There has been intention on their part but no follow-thru in that they are always gone at half. Geau Sioux has mentioned this but allow students to leave at half time...then allow them back in. Not a tough concept but the alerus can't seem to figure that out.

These polls are very interesting because I have to wonder if these voters watched any of the games, or just simply looked at final score. First of all Poly: There is no way Lehigh should be ranked ahead of them with their JV level schedule. Poly should be top 10 for sure, with NAU right behind them. This east coast bias is really starting to take over. Also, this really doesn't matter because in no way are we a top 25 team, but how does Montana get more votes than us? Something just doesn't make sense here, rant over.

Matt - It would be very interesting to see the UND offense square off against the NDSU defense in a controlled scrimmage. I also think that if it were a full game you guys would win handily because NDSU is a far better team all around. Even though we don't play in the same conference wouldn't it be pretty cool to have the annual spring game be against NDSU?

I never once said that we should be playing teams like Michigan and Notre Dame...you assumed that is what I meant. Actually, we belong with teams like NDSU (they are way better than us right now for the record) Montana, and even up to the lower level FBS teams like Colorado State, Colorado, Wyoming, etc. We can compete with teams like that but once the athletic budget goes past 50 M we have a whole new class. Long story short there is a big difference between a D1 FCS conference such as the Big Sky or MVFC versus a D2 conference such as the Northern Sun. You are completely delusional if you think there is only a small difference. However, the lower half of FCS is another conversation. I believe it will work itself out in the next 5 - 10 years because the big boys of FBS are rapidly pulling away from the small guys of FBS; meanwhile the top half of FCS is proving that they are very competitive with the smaller FBS budgets.

That would be awesome but I suspect that they feel Root would be competition to their wanna-be sports network...

Dish Network as well, but you need to be in the Rocky Mountain or Pacific Northwest for Dish. So for you guys up north Directv is the best option because they will also have the game on the Audience network nationwide (channel 239).

DVR is set for me too. Our first ski area opened up yesterday for the season so I have to get some turns in first!

Athletic budgets would also be taken into account. Teams like Idaho, who has a similar budget to UND, cannot compete with teams who have 50 million plus budgets. I think Texas is pushing the 100 M mark!

I believe only one FCS win per year counts toward bowl eligibility...could be wrong though.
