I am trying to stay positive about this process but I have a gut feeling that we will be served turd sandwiches without the bread.

Pretty much why I left. Doesn't hurt that I love to ski though. Goal is to move back someday. I like Grand Forks.

I think a class that diverse would be fantastic! We need depth at all positions, obviously some more than others. Good post.

There are a few NDSU posters that do offer good insight and add to the conversation and I appreciate that. However, there are more than a few that add nothing whatsoever and constantly derail threads. It gets old quickly and I understand why some UND posters do not visit or post here anymore. Simply put, more could be done to curtail constant trolls from derailing threads.

UND had a contract with FCS for a few years prior to the NCHC, and even last year for other sports. I do not know why only 10 games are going to be on CBS...that part has me a bit boggled. I really wish they televised more because they did a great job with the production last year. I see this as an opportunity for other schools to start negotiating their own contracts so that they can get increased visibility. Look at CBS as a bonus. Edit- FCS simply re-broadcasts the regional contract we have with Midco Sports net so it should not really be looked at as a Notre Dame type of deal with NBC.

I am going to watch the game Saturday primarily to see if there is noticeable improvement in the running game and rush defense. I am not expecting a win but I will be happy if I can see marked improvement.

I always chuckle a bit when fans of teams with such original names (Bears) make fun of the Sioux name

Agreed that Shaugs should have more carries. Good news is that in my reading this morning Bubba was quoted saying that they need to think about giving him more carries. Simmons- I like what I see...he will only get better. Has anyone heard how bad his injury was? Defense- Very nice to see them swarming the ball. There is definitely a different feel this year and it is refreshing. Olson, Reinke, Ratelle all looked great. Tillman- what a hit! I watched that a few times again this morning..just awesome! Special Teams- Great! Build off of it. Offense- A lot of work to do. Dumb penalties need to stop as they killed a couple drives. There is potential, but it will take a while to develop.
