I am actually excited to watch our defense whereas the past couple of years I was genuinely worried when our defense took the field. The offense obviously has some work to do but the problems seem to be the types that can be fixed. I do not want to get ahead of ourselves so win this Saturday and proceed from there. Good post Sic.

I watched part of their game against UC Davis and they seem to like to run the ball with their QB. If our defense keeps playing with an edge we have a shot. I think the offense if finally starting to find themselves. I am looking forward to Saturday. From here on out every game is winable.

I somewhat agree with you in that RT was against moving up at the time and I view that as a mistake. That is the past and we can't control that. However I think that AD we had for a short time (I think his last name was Buning) was terrible. An argument can also be made that Mussman was a major contributor to the problems. What you can't argue is that we are finally on the right track and I think that has you worried.

I agree 100%, well said. The casual fan seems to not view UND Football as a viable entertainment option anymore and UND needs to develop a plan to address this. Any marketing plan like this takes time and execution. This should be a top priority right now.

I think it is important to note that Stony Brook does have a very strong defense and I know there are those who think "what is a Stony Brook" but the fact remains they will have one of the better defenses in the CAA. They probably won't have a stellar record this year since their offense seems to be worse than even ours. I agree that even though we have had a slow start on offense it will improve. It must be quite the transition from a #Chuckthepigskin offense to a ball control offense. This stuff takes time. Plus- After four games I never thought we would be 2-2. The sky is not falling people.

The Sac St beat writer was on record against it as well. Him and Ash are the two I can recall that were on record as being against it.

Thanks for the input. I think NAU is overrated and I have been following the USD scores this year and have been impressed with them. I look forward to playing USD again.

I cannot recall exactly where it was printed but I remember reading multiple articles that states Ash's disapproval of UND being added to the league.

If South Dakota a good team or is NAU over-ranked? I have had my doubts about NAU's early ranking so far this season and would like to hear if anyone else has been thinking the same thing/

For the first time in years I truly enjoyed watching the defense play. They played with attitude and confidence and that was just great to see. I'll take the win. Offense- God help us.
