  1. I've been wondering the same thing for quite some time. Unless I am missing something we have 6 scholarships to fill after this coming year which accounts for almost 80% of our scoring.
  2. With all the experience and talent at the guard position I believe this is a good decision.
  3. It appears to be a great move with his experience coaching at a very high level D1 school and also a player at a Big Ten school. If he is as good at the X's and O's on offense as mentioned then our offense may have just got a big boost cause we have the talent. We may actually run some screens for our shooters.
  4. Great pickup for the Sioux. Shot 43% from 3 with 60 made three pointers and shot 84% from the free throw line. This will definately help the pain of losing our 5 seniors after next year.
  5. Heard we have scheduled a game at Butler and Wisconsin. The Butler game would be a great one to see. Hope its on a Saturday and I may just make travel plans.
  6. I heard he is with the team over the summer.
  7. Why would we offer a scholarship to a player that plays less than 9 minutes a game and less than 4 points a game for a JUCO school. Surely there has got to be someone better than this.
  8. Not even close. They play together as one, unlike us.
  9. Another guard ??. As of right now we will have 9 guards on the roster for next year by my count ( Anderson, Webb, Antwi, Schuler, Benton, Huff, Hooker, Hobaugh, red shirt non scholly player from this year).
  10. Good luck tonight and hope Weber/UNI matchup happens.
  11. NIU wins again tonight in the 3rd round. So far they beat us by 11, 2nd round by 12 and tonight by 13.
  12. I totally agree. Go Weber........
  13. Wasn't able to find the article but I did find that Hooker was 4 of 16 from the field in the championship game and took 24 shots in the quarterfinals. It will be interesting to see where he fits into our lineup with a senior dominated guard lineup next year.
  14. Syracuse won 81-34. Montana shot 20% from the floor. OUCH
  15. I like your thinking. Basically what I was saying with a few twists.
  16. SW asked for a wish list. That was my wish list and nothing more. Have no idea what the schedule will look like aside from NDSU, SDSU and Bowing Green and of course the Big Sky.
  17. South Dakota @ home Iowa ( big ten $$$$$) Oregon or Oregon State ( Pac10 $$$$) Northern Iowa @ home tournament in Hawaii or Carribean Islands
  18. Read the article and all the comments, agree that all 11 teams should be in the tournament. It would only create 1 more round where you have seeds 6-11 play with seeds 1-5 get a bye and then you are down to the quarters. This way wherever the tournament is the fans can plan their travels for the date set. The way it is now alot of teams dont know if they've made it until 5 days prior and then the travel costs go way up, especially if you have to book a flight.
  19. Small ball has been our most effective line-up all year. Will Jones change our starting line-up now that everyone is healthy and go to our strongest line-up or just keep everything the same.
  20. Northern Iowa RPI is 80 and UND is 227. UNI has a better RPI than Weber and Montana. This would be a huge win for the program.
  21. Excellent point. When I watched NDSU and SDSU play in the championship Walters was amazing passing the ball and yet he scored his points. They mentioned he had 12 assists in the semi's. That is a type of player any team mate would love to have on the court with them.
  22. Agree, its great to start reading one positive post after another in the basketball forum. We are definately on our way to better things and have really enjoyed the turn around this season and especially with all the injuries they have accomplished this. Lets go Sioux.
  23. With everyone that is in front of him I truly don't see him seeing much action at all next year. He played limited minutes last year for a poor team and averaged around 4 pts/game is all. Maybe the following year when this junior class graduates he may see minutes.
  24. Just read the women have a new player for next year, Kramer. Hopefully she works out cause she only averaged 6.9 pts/game her senior year in high school. She's a 6' guard so if she can handle the ball and not turn it over that will be a huge success for this program. Scoring is really weak but time will tell.
  25. Was not cleared yesterday but things could change today. If he does play as physical as SUU is I wouldn't be surprised to see a few cheap shots at Anderson during the game cause I am sure it wont take much of a hit to ring his bell again.
