  1. How many bad shots can we take in one half. Wilmer with turn around 15 footers, give me a break.
  2. Anderson and Schuler nail this one down in the last few minutes from the line. They were 15-16 combined from the line. Excellent job guys, had me worried for awhile when they came back from our huge lead.
  3. Why does Benton play the 4, he brings very little. He is not much taller than Schuler and at least Schuler brings a scoring threat.
  4. Traylor is no doubt disappointing especially the way he played the last couple of games. He was what we really needed at the 4 spot and from what I've seen and heard the players really liked him. What looked like it was going to be a very good year with the addition of Nash and Traylor has turned out to be a train wreck. From what I understand Brekke is still down and not making the trip this weekend to make matters even worse. Down to 9 scholarship players for this 2 game road trip.
  5. Actually we brought in 3 bigs, one they red-shirted for some reason and the other 2 are ineligible. I think its more than just a tiki idol, first Nash, then Huff, then Brekke and then Traylor. This is just the first 11 games, I wonder who will be next.
  6. Anderson cramps up again, why is he not rested more in the first half so he can finish a game. Put Schuler and Antwi in more for Anderson so this cramping finally stops, it's not that hard to figure out. Good win and now lets get on a roll and pick up some road wins for a change.
  7. They only have a man or zone and I've only seen them play zone a few times. Don't believe they will try some other defense.
  8. Not heard anything on the status of our players but after watching Bowling Green play Michigan state last week we will have our hands full. They have a point guard that is a generous 5'6" and he is so dynamic, I dont see how any of our guards can stay in front of this lighting quick guard that can shoot it from anywhere on the court. Bowling Green also had so many offensive rebounds against one of the best teams in the nation, I hate to think what they may do against us on the offensive glass. We will need all of our key players for one to be playing and shoot near the 50% mark if we are going to stay close. It we win it will be a great win for us going into 2013, lets hope so.
  9. Word is Huff will see playing time tonight, dont know how fit he is but will be playing. Agree mostly on the post above but with a few different ideas. Really tired of seeing 2 point guards starting that don't get many assists and either take very bad shots or turn the ball over excessively so Webb or Anderson start at the 1, Schuler at the 2, Huff at the 3, Traylor at the 4 and Brekke at the 5. That is when everyone becomes 100% healthy. Antwi and either Anderson/Webb backup the 1 and 2 while Schuler can back up some at the 3 and Wiler/Acher back up the 5. Give all the starters between 28-30 minutes would be about perfect with just the right amount of rest for all of them. This would also be a 9 man rotation with the guys most deserving of the time based on the first 9 games, of course fouls and futher injuries could always makes things alittle more messy.
  10. My channel guide for Directtv shows the game as being broadcast.
  11. Michigan State beat Bowling Green by 11. Close game until last couple of minutes.
  12. Future opponent Bowling Green is hanging with #20 Michigan State in the 2nd half and are only down 4 with 17 minutes to go. What worries me is they are getting a lot of offensive rebounds against the bigs of Michigan State. Thats not good for us.
  13. Bingo, its nice how other teams realize which shooters can shoot off a screen and we have Schuler that would be awesome shooting off a screen but no coaches have figured this out. He must always create his own shots and again he hardly ever had the ball passed to him when he was wide open. Dont think Anderson or Webb can see him. I even saw him waving his arms a few times when he was wide open and they never look his way. Thats coaching.
  14. That sais it all, 5 total team assists. Webb 0 assists, 5 turnovers and only 4 points. Not TEAM basketball and Jones saying there is nothing wrong with the offense, what is he watching. Leading scorer shooting bad shots and the only way he scores is flopping on 4 attempts to the hoop and if our guards ever passed it out as said above I believe it will hit our shooters in the face cause they would not expect it. We need unselfish players and right now we only have a couple and they are the ones that should be shooting.
  15. Anderson has taken 4 consecitive shots and missed everyone without making a single pass. What is going on with Anderson. Such selfish basketball again.
  16. Anderson you have teammates to pass it to. This game is making me sick. Basketball is a TEAM game boys.
  17. Here come the turnovers. Webb why try and force it so much.
  18. once again anderson down the middle and shooter wide open and he throws it away. Drive and dish for once please. This team has too many selfish players.
  19. The bigs dont know how to box out. Watch them, they never put their body on anybody.
  20. The coaches. There is also no inside out game. I don't recall one time all year a ball has gone down low and kicked out. If I was a coach for the other team every time a ball went down low I would sag 4 guys on the ball and break one guy, easy layup. We don't ever penetrate and look opposite for the wide open guy. We don't box out its so sad and I don't understand what the coaches watch on our team in the film room. I sure hope the second half goes a lot better cause this team is not that good.
  21. As in several games already this year, I believe this game will come down to our ability or inability to rebound and we will be without Brekke which really hurts. Their top 7 players are 6'2, 6'4, 6'8, 6'6, 6'11, 6'6 , 6'8 so they have alot of height and size also. Boys you'd better box out tonight and get a much needed road win and our first ever win in the Big Sky.
  22. Based on what I heard Huff has yet to practice, just doing light shooting, so I'd say he is no where close to playing. He looked so skinny and definatley out of shape after losing 15-20 lbs when I saw him at the NDSU game. Brekke is also more than likely out of this game due to his concussion as he to has not practiced all week and I wonder if he even took any of his exams due to his condition, that may create a problem all by itself.
