I have met both of the Sheppards and of the two the son is the more pompous of the two. You could at least have a conversation with Greg Sheppard. A few years back it was monday morning after the Sioux had taken three games to beat the Mavericks when Derrick came into GFK international airport and one of the first thing he did was complain about how he had to spend an extra night in this crappy town and it was the Sioux's fault. I told him maybe if the ref had done a better job we wouldn't have had to stay an extra day. There wasn't much of a response other than the Sioux had many chances to win the game in question.

I like what your wrote, you bring up a pretty good point. For what ever reason Lee didn't really grow on a lot of the fans, seems like fans either loved him or didn't. It may very well be him not living up to the hype/pressure of being a number one draft choice. Maybe some of the fans put unrealistic expectations on him. I think some of the criticism was warranted and some of it was little over the top. I don't think it had any bearing in him staying or leaving UND. It ridiculous for some to think that almost immediately after Lapoint gets to college the fans are going to throw him under the bus.

I agree AZ-SIoux Frattin is going to be an everyday players someone is going to be sitting. I am thinking Miller, Radkye or Martens are going to be the odd man out. I am also thinking that Malone isn't going to be a third line forward.
