I think both have been great additions to the team. Ashton Calder is fourth on the team in points, missed five games to an upper-body injury. Connor Ford plays third on the team in points. Plays on the PP and the PK and leads the nation in faceoff wins. I don't think he's been horrible.
After the game on Saturday, Schloss asked Brad, and it didn't sound like there wasn't very much information. And from reading Schloss's tweet today, it doesn't sound like he's going to play again during the olympics.
Who knows?
I think he's been one of UND's best d-men of the team. He's a rock. He's scoring goals like crazy. His game translates in all three zones. He blocked a couple of hard shots deep in the UND end late in the third period that stung him pretty good and just bounced back up and keep going.
Speaking of Denver. Bobby Brink (9g-32a--41pts) is tied for the lead in the NCAA, and leads the NCHC in points with 41.
Our own Riese Gaber (13G-18A--31pts) is fourth in the NCHC in points, and 18th in the NCAA in points.
Joey Abate is one of the biggest hacks to skate into the Ralph in some time. I wonder how long it will take for him to cheap shot someone? He cause that brawl last year. There was also a reason Pinto crossed checked him the year before.
I can confirm that the DU vs. MU webcast was brutal. There needs to be a minimum standard. I was watching the game on my laptop before both UND games against SCSU. Here's a screen shot from the webcast in question. The webcast went blank for about five minutes both nights. I confirmed with my sister, and she said the same thing.
I can confirm that Miami still has a substandard webcast with a better picture. The camera person was still having trouble tracking the puck or filming the player's bench from the upper deck.
I was watching the Miami vs Denver webcast in the press box before the game, and the feed went dark for about five minutes. The Miami webcast is still substandard.
Seriously, why would they? Teams will still line up to play against them. They don't like to do anything but one for one games. One here, one game at they're barn.
