I think this upcoming season, UND is going to have a solid lineup in the forward groups. Defensively, they're going to be really good too. This "could" be a really good season for UND.

If @gfhockey would like to slobber and fawn all over UMD hockey, by all means. It's a free country. You also might want to take a look, under Sandelin there were a few lean years at UMD, too.

Now that's funny. One could argue that UND already has some of the same culture. Brad Berry and Scott Sandelin played on the same team from 1984-86. Both are UND guys.

No I don't. To play at UND you have to buy into the culture. If you listen to the players you don't hear the word "I" a lot. There's a reason for that.

That's a good point, I see people upset that Spicer isn't coming here, but it's a no brainer between Dylan James and him. James is a projected second round draft choice, Spicer isn't. Refreshing our memory: players that were taken in the second round, Shane Pinto, Bobby Brink. I am taking that player. He was asked to play another year of junior, he decided that he wasn't. That's too bad.

I'd only be for it if they upped the number of bids to the NCAA Hockey tourney. Hockey in its current form would mean you're taking another bid away from a legitimate NCAA tourney team. The AHA team currently bid is already doing that. JMHO.

I agree with @The Sicatoka if they were going to start hockey they would've done it all ready. Football is kind in the SEC.

It goes back to an old fashion cliché no one player is bigger than the program. You play for the team on the front, not the player on the back. If your coach asks you to play another year of junior. You have two choices. Play junior hockey or go somewhere else. A coach can also decide, you know what, I don't want anything to do with this player and move on. I am going to trust a coach over a player. Also, Berry and staff pick players based on character and talent.

The NCAA can't make them do anything. A conference has to accept them. I suppose they pressure, but in the end a conference has to want and accept a team.

This is a game changer. I've heard the horror stories about the Football offices. This would be a nice addition for the UND football team.

I agree with Schloss. The super regional isn’t a good idea. It would reward Minnesota unfairly every year.

I remember him back in the 1990's golfing at a golf tourney at Valley Golf, he was two fisting beers on every whole. The guy was a lot of fun. I don't think I could hit a golf ball in that condition but he golf like almost 200 rounds a summer.
