How many years for football; it would seem that wouldn’t go that far for very long: i.e. players, NIL, coaching additions. We already know hardened facilities are expensive and wouldn’t go as far as we think. I’d love to have 10 mil to spend, but sports are expensive.

How far would that actually go?

Hockey is the big-time sports program at UND. don't see this changing. Some might say that UND hockey put Grand Forks on the Map. Hockey brings more notoriety to UND that football ever will. While I agree, football should be more of a priority at UND, it shouldn't come at the expense of hockey.

I've heard that the league will let them leave when they pay the fee.

No! They're not, they're building a 475-million-dollar replacement hospital.

Western isn't planning on leaving. When a previous rumor came out, a few years back, I was told by a person from Western athletic department they have no plans on leaving the conference.

We lose Miami when they pay their exit fee.

Someone turn the lights out when you leave the arena. They took the Mavericks athletic trainer, too. This is borderline unethical.

If my math is correct, UND plays 10 of the first 14 games at home this season.

He was a trainwreck as an on-ice official. Horrendous.

That's a really bad hire. The NCHC wanted nothing to do with him. That's why he wasn't hired to be an official.

His comments also might prove that maybe the coaching staff has a good handle on their players and recruits. JMHO

It's incredible how much of an impact Al had on the people who knew him. The guy was an icon in UND sports, it will be weird not seeing him at UND sports anymore. Rest Easy Al.

If he's okay with going to Juniors another year, what's the harm? Others have posted here that he's said he's cool with another year of Juniors.

I was thinking about this last night. The Toronto Maple Leafs are just a more talented version of the Minnesota Wild. They're too perimeter. In the playoffs, you have to go to dirty areas to score goals. The Kraken and the Panthers are getting to the nosebleed alleys and dirty areas. It's fun watching Hak's team play. They're mean and nasty to play against. I wish he was the Bruins coach in the playoffs.
