  1. Nice try, however, there have n't been any NHL contracted signed since the lockout. There will not be any contract until the CBA is ratified. Apparently the Players and owners have to go through 600 pages of agreement.
  2. The only thing I could see keeping him from going is that under the new CBA rookies aren't going to get squat. In fact there was an article on Foxsports.com stated that a few of the Euros might not come to the NHL because they will not be offered the money they once were. I say great because I don't want to see a bunch of stick swinging turtles from Russian, Sweden and the Check Republic.
  3. That is good advice, because he is going to get it handed to him just like Bochenski and Parise did. They had guys taking runs at them all of the time. I expect big mike to be on him the whole time he is on the ice.
  4. You better hope that Frazee is better than Briggs or your going to be in the same boat as last season. Either that or the Gophers are going to have to score a tone of goals.
  5. Teams I believe are going to play Kessel this way. Give him no room to roam and hit him every chance they get. I remember some of the WJC teams doing this to him. I think Kessel is going to become aquainted with Mr Prpick this season. I remember him checking Vanek up and down the ice. Something like this "hack, smack, wack and chirping the whole way.
  6. Dubay is nothing more than an over glorified fan.
  7. I agree Jeff Dubay is not what I call a credible source the guy is nothing more than a Gopher Hockey Geek/rube that got lucky and ended up in the chair of a major sport talk radio station. I guess that being said there is hope for us too.
  8. The checking from behind rule is going to suck. Here is why every game there are a lot of calls that could be called checking from behind, however they are seldom called correctly. Don Adam's non call in the final five was a perfect example of this. However, I feel that UND even before this rule came to fruition always gets the short end of calls, and now are going to suffer even more. Especially if they keep up with the stiffling defensive style of play, the refs are going to make up calls to keep it close. It would have been easier just to fire of fine bad officials like Don Adam.
  9. That would be even less representative if the people actually picked themselves to be in the survey because then your data is going to be skew to a particular point of view, hence the negative results towards indian logos.
  10. ' I have the solution to that equation. Cut funding to schools that use American Indian names, I guess we would just have to cut some programs. Moronic. NCAA sports are a million dollar business. Thank god these people aren't really anything more than just psuedo positions. They can make a bunch of noise but really don't hold much power.
  11. I think the issue is that an EZAC schools was complaining (remember discussion by cornell fans wanting team to come to Cornell and suggesting they would win if UofM had to play them at their small barn) about Minnesota having an unfair avantage by playing on their home ice. Of course mind you many people over look the fact that Cornell was highly over-rated because of the weak a$$ed league they play in. Forgetting that fact that Cornell didn't beat many teams I would have considered to be elite. I guess even during the NCAA Frozen Four Cornell coach Schaffer was complaining about how his team had been jobbed and had his frozen four appearance taken from him because they had to unfairly play Minnesota in Minnesota. Even Barry Melrose was trying to say that Cornell had one of the best teams in the country I disagree with these morons... So I believe that is what the east coast elite are talking about. The snobs out east are probably upset that it was an all west final and that the NCAA hockey really isn't about them. On the flip side of this UND had the ultimate iron man competition and instead of whinning and going one and done they took it to the Boston Schools and dismantled them. One could make the arguement that Worchester was in Boston schools back yard so I am not buying this argument either. For the geographically challenged Worchester is only like 35 miles from Boston.
  12. Its not hard to ask the questions that will skew the results in favor of any agenda you have. I am sure the questions were biased and were asked in a way to make the answer negative towards Native logos. IF I am not mistaken Indian Country is a leftist news paper so its not surprising that they would adopt this view. I found this to be an interesting opinion. I don't necessarily agree with this.
  13. It will never happen, the NCAA isn't going to slit its throat for a nick name. I'd bet anyone that thinks this.
  14. Honestly, The NCAA can not (Did you hear me name change trolls) make these schools change their names, the article in the Heraldo earlier this year said so. All this is, in my opinion is window dressing for the leftist eliets. You know the ones that fit the mold, the misfit sociology/humanities professors, or insert professor from the arts and science department that have nothing better to do with their time than biotch about atheletic team names. Its almost like they are actually listening to morons like Doren Yellow Bird, by the way that woman is a kook, a nut job. A bunch of hand wringing liberals who want to change the name of sports teams. Come on really, its like there is nothing more important in the world than these people opinion's. All I can say is good For FSU, but their name isn't going anywhere.
  15. I guess they don't think the WCHA has that great of players. Most of them seem to be from the NE.
  16. Agree, great job, now its time to get into the weight room gain some weight and get ready to shine at UND, I think he has a lot of offensive skills. I watched this kid during the ND hockey tourney and he is definately a good player. Central was not as loaded as their teams past and Jake was definately one of the best players in the ice during the east region and state tourney. Jake can take the puck from end to end and bury the puck.

I just hope that the NHL signs after Greene reports to UND's fall camp.
  18. I agree with that statement.
