Agree, great job, now its time to get into the weight room gain some weight and get ready to shine at UND, I think he has a lot of offensive skills. I watched this kid during the ND hockey tourney and he is definately a good player. Central was not as loaded as their teams past and Jake was definately one of the best players in the ice during the east region and state tourney. Jake can take the puck from end to end and bury the puck.

I just hope that the NHL signs after Greene reports to UND's fall camp.

Why would they say no. The NCC is a better league than the NSIC, the NSIC is percieved as a week league like the CHA is in hockey. Also, if Winona is in the NCC, we dont' have to worry about them competing for a spot in the NCAA tourney then because if they were in the NCC I can't see them walking to a conference title like they do in the NSIC. Concordia is also a legitimate up and coming school and played NDSU tough its last year in division II.

I think that Lucia for some reason likes the defensemen that I would consider offensive/with the potential to be pylons, hence the name pylons. Last years two offensive freshmen defense had the ability to get caught up ice causing a scoring opportunity in their own end. I would refer to them as not being very good defensively, and not having any idea where the defensive zone is. These two rookies also got burned quite a few times during the WJC last winter too. So the Goofs can have that type of defensemen, it seems to work well when they play UND. Actually UND really hasn't had one like that since Roache left. As for blind ignorance and allegiance to the Gophers I look at that as a character flaw.

Marvins pays the coach(s) of the Hockey team and then they find a job for the parents of potential recruits. Its even better than college recruiting. I remember it was like that with Wyatt Smith. They have done this for years. I suppose it will be harder for them to lure Thief River Falls kids with the awesome arena.

Scott, that is exactly the problem with our hypersensitive society. Oh were offended. Yikes the Devils name offends some people. My advice to them is get over your self, the name is bigger than you. Today everyone has thin skins and gets offended immediately, I am personally sick and tired of them. We have all these hyper sensitive bravo males like Al Gore trying to play to the shrills. Yikes. It's a shake down. That is what Hired Gun Russell Means was doing when he came to UND to speak out about the name. Its about further their cause. He made money to come here and pontificate about the UND Fighting Sioux name then off he went to the next pay check. This is a perfect example of what will happen to our country if we let liberalism go unchecked. Here is the problem with the pro-name change P.C. Nazis. There is not a ground swell of support for the name to be changed, however, a few of these weenies expect us to just conform to their whims and expect UND to just change the name because it offends them. Expect the Next UND president to be ambushed by this crowd the minute we get a new president sworn in. We will hear a bunch of buzz words like racist, Nazis, and how UND sold its soul to get a hockey arena and all their other half truths.

I think that our goaltenders better be ready to play next fall. We will have the offense but I think we might be winning 4-3, 5-3 and 5-4. Because we have what I call offensive defensemen. IF we keep Greene it won't be so back. Greene can counter act the offensive defensemen.

No I know I was just fishing to see if anyone knew for sure if Radke was coming back. I remember some say he might not come back next season.

Bryan never made it higher than Milwaukee. From reading the web page for the team he has had trouble sticking with them too.

My question to you is why on earth would they hire a person to get rid of the name? Then turn around and have the board step in and make the decision for him? I think that mingling with the students would be a major part of his job. Your right UND is here for the students. All of them not just the vocal minority that here to forward there agenda. However, like or not sports is a big part of UND. Its put UND on the map. In my job I have come into contact with him from time to time and he just doesn't have a people type person mentality. Or he comes off as unengaging. Chuck is kind of blah. Baker had his faults but he was out there with the students. I am sure its tough to fill Clifford's shoes, maybe UND will never find someone that has the people skills I believe is also part of the job.

Don't forget that Ducktober and UND hockey season are only about 5 months off too.
