Lets hope that this isn't true.

I was told by someone I work with this morning that they knew one of the persons that was on the construction companies (one of the Foremen) that built the Ralph. Apparently there was dynamite on site to blow up the new REA if they changed the Fighting Sioux name. Also, another thing I heard today is there is apparently something in the will that says they could actually destroy the Ralph if the name is changed. I doubt this one and believe it to be a urban myth but, you never know. Does anyone know about this?

Sounds like Charles better get his butt down to Fort Totten and mend some fences. The woman from Fort Totten said I never met him. There something key that Myra said, the Elders and the Kids like the name, its about 50-50. Elders in AI culture have the last word a lot of times. That is probably why this vote was cancelled or didn't happen. I personally am not oppose to having freshmen recieve classes on racial sensitivities. And what is wrong with the athletes that wear the uniform with the Fighting Sioux logo on it going to the reservation and mingle with the kids and doing some out reach. Its is pretty clear what UND has to do. The Fort Totten Sioux just threw UND a life line by not having the vote so now UND needs not to screw this up and do what we promised.

UND is going to slap the NCAA with a law suit. I was wondering why CMU and Utah were given exemptions already and UND wasn't.

Look at the Minnesota Gophers last year, the Pylons were young but the Gophers still made the Frozen Four. I think this years team Defense is better than that group so I am actually very optimistic. Lee > Hagemo and Chorney > Galegoski. So I think UND will be fine.

I highly doubt it. I think UND would definately still play at the Ralph, even if UND caved to the P.C. Nazis and decided to change the name. Besides, where would UND play hockey games at? REA isn't going to let the arena remain empty. The old REA is out of date and would have to be remodeled to play in it, I believe that I heard that about 250,000 or proubly more that they would

From listening to Tim and Sweg this morning it sounds like SCSU pushed him out or something to that matter. I guess there really isn't the best time to leave.

The one picture you have posted with your message is from the former site of UND-racisim.com this site was run by former UND student/misfit Glenda Misken, Glenda was run out of the UND after she had a run in with the Physics department, I believe she was kicked off campus and had a restraining order slapped on her. This I got from talking to one of the admin/secretary from the UND Physics department. Misken is also the owner of the site UND-Fraud.com, and has had a axe to grinde with UND. Misken is also a co-conspiritor with another woman that was kicked out of the Medical department after having a dispute with a member of the Medical facualty (sp).
