Would it suck when you had to play Oral Roberts?? - even Valpo (who's at least a recognizable DI BB school) is 1-5 in the non-conference season so far this year...wow Paradise doesn't seem to be all it's cracked up to be!

we've gone there TWICE (just after 7pm both times on a weeknight) and they wouldn't serve us because they claimed they were "OUT OF FOOD") must be good if they're fridge is empty at the prime-time dinner hour in GF!!!

The NCC "offices" are in a Hotel Room at the Ramkota in Sioux Falls....NOT AN OFFICE BUILDING...literally a converted HOTEL ROOM. I don't think it would take too much negotiation for RT to move the NCC "offices" to GF so he can still watch Drew and handle NCC business from here. From my perspective - I say "GO FOR IT!" RT's done his time as a UND coach, AD, and now he deserves to crank it down a notch running the NCC. We'll miss his personality and PR ability but frankly not his business skills. Wanless was a public asshole with no personality but he could, at least, administratively run an Athletic Department. This is the key skill RT lacks and something we might need right now - especially given everything that's going on right now...(Not that I want Wanless back mind you!...this just might be an opportunity for UND to go in a new direction!!)

Personally, I was hoping his head was going to EXPLODE on the sideline when he realized his "ULTIMATE TEAM" was headed for the biggest loss of all! PSU got what they deserved...VSU popped their bubble of "THE GREATEST OFFENSE EVER IN NCAA FOOTBALL!" (UND had it going for 3 quarters...VSU did it for all 4) - that "POTENT OFFENSE" still wasn't good enough to win a National Championship - plus the PURE ARROGANCE of the Gorilla fans was vintage NDSU-attitude!! It's always fun to see a team like that go down in the end...reminds them it takes more than beating a lesser talented team by 80 POINTS to win a National Championship!!! HAHA!!

They "think" playing in the big arena (with the videoboards, more seating, and such) makes it better but yeah, it is more of a "neutral court" situation since they don't play there all the time. 4000 would be much better in the Betty than 4000 in the Ralph (even with the bells and whistles) - what conference game will draw more than that this year???

okay...found out why Bemidji beat the Sioux back in November. You know...Bemidji State - Northwest Minnesota - small school - probably lots of HS players from Bagley, Fertile-Beltrami, Bemidji itself....NOT!!!! They've loaded up with more JUCO's than I've ever seen in my life!!! Almost their ENTIRE ROSTER is made up of transfers from Chicago, Los Angeles, Florida - et al!! A couple token guys (1 from Bemidji and 1 from Bagley) but ALL the others are ringers (probably with SERIOUS academic faults because, REALLY, if you could play on the DII level - why in hell would you be a BEAVER???) Watching them tonight...they'll make some noise in the Northern Sun early but ultimately SELF DESTRUCT because the culture shock moving from Chicago or Los Angeles to BEMIDJI, MN!! is just a BIT of a CHANGE!!

The strike has made me a little hazy but didn't NHL tickets go for about $40 in the regular season??? (same as the US and Canada Tickets for the World Jrs...seems a little steep to me...)
