very embarassing since the "official" attendance was revealed as around 2500?? I'd say there were 1000 Sioux fans at least and probably close to 55% SCSU -45% UND. ON THE UP SIDE...They have a great work-study program at Jan Brady State...they managed to wrangle up a DOZEN people to "demonstrate" this time around...not too impressive...especially since they obviously keep the SAME SIGNS in storage for the 4-5 trips UND makes to JANLAND every year

ps...WALK OUT of a game and I guarentee REA will be salivating at all the EXTRA season tickets (with of course a required FSC membership) they can sell for those prime seats! It'll be like K-dog at Hardees with a line of credit!!

Sad to say (for the atmosphere and all) but the students are going to lose in this deal...bottom line. Argue the facts as you see them and I'm with you - students are 70% of the energy in the arena and WE NEED YOU but REA (and make no mistake, it's NOT UND but REA making the calls) will not risk pissing off Fans paying a "gross average" of $40-$50 per seat per game (ticket price and concessions) for students paying MAYBE 20% of that. It's all in the numbers. I want you guys to stand, scream like maniacs, and make it more fun for all...that's why my advice, given your frankly very weak bargaining position, is "ASK to move the Student Section and TAKE THE SEATS IN THE CORNER" You can raise hell and stand the whole game (we'd like that!) and not interfere with anyones view. I know it's not your preferred choice but it's the best solution to keep all sides happy (especially the ones that are ringing the cash registers!) I'm guessing you guys can find ways to make the best of a bad situation...

NOW THIS IS HILARIOUS!! I e-mailed one of the guys selling NAZI memorabila on Ebay and asked if he had ever been questioned by Ebay about his "merchandise". He said the only time was when he was posting auctions on Yahoo - they banned Nazi items because they sell in France and the Frogs complained...that's why he switched to Ebay. NO COMPLAINTS FROM THEM!!! I think that's major ammo if they ever do enforce a ban on "offensive" logos...

I routinely sell UND Fighting Sioux items on Ebay - (with pretty good success, especially in the Twin Cities) but I recently received a "notice" from Ebay announcing they would be "curtailing" auctions for college items with "blatantly" offensive nicknames like the Seminoles, Indians, Warriors, et al or schools that use "offensive imagery" to promote their sports. I replied saying I was protesting the new policy and challenged them to point out ANYTHING offensive about the Fighting Sioux nickname...2 days and they haven't replied...too bad the PC movement has moved to this forum...just curious what you guys thought... CURRENT UND Fighting Sioux items on Ebay....
