Nice thoughts guys - I'm with you all the way!! RB has been someone who's been willing to do whatever is asked of him...whenever...now he needs OUR support - and not just on an internet forum...REAL tangible support! I'm posting an address below...it's the mail address of the Ralph in care of Chris Semrau. Chris is a good guy and I don't think he'll mind that I put this up and hopefully he'll have a sack of letters and cards to bring Robbie when he comes back home... Ralph Engelstad Arena C/O Chris Semrau 4 RB 801 Columbia Road North Grand Forks, ND 58203 Send a card...a letter...or just a notecard that says "thanks!" Something he can hold in his hand to show what an asset he's been to this team in whatever role he's been asked to perform. He put out everything just for the privilege of playing for the Sioux - this is the least we can do for him now!! go for it...

and yes I'm still peeved at the Monster!

Bollinger has a lot of pluses for the AD job...great history at UND plus his fundraising ability with the Alumni Assoc. since he moved over there. According to "inside sources"..this is what they're looking for!! PLUS - it would create an opening at the Alumni Association that Rich could easily slide into and do very well - creating a best of BOTH WORLDS if you know what I mean Purpur is the X factor...he has DI experience and brings that to the table...my guess is it's a two horse race that Phil and Chuck will call. I'd think Purpurs' late application might work a bit against him on this deal and Bollinger leads the pack right now but we'll see....

thank god almighty...I'm free at last!!

they're a newbie to the league and I don't think a 7th place finish is a suprise...wait until they get the scholly $$ up and they'll be fine
-
isn't "BAD ROADS" kind of like "we ran into a hot goalie" or "we hit the pipes a lot" from the fan perspective??...excuses...excuses...excuses!!! (what goes around comes around!)
-
well deserved!!
-
absolutely right Canuck! EVERYONE is a Sioux fan when they're a national contender...in an average year...NOT SO MUCH! This was the BADGERS after all...we had them at home AND with home playoff ice on the line - c'mon guys! What was really SAD for anyone that was there on saturday was hearing the 300 or so Badger fans singing and chanting during the game from their nosebleed section in the OPPONENTS arena while the sioux fans chatted about the weather or the city smoking ordinance and barely NOTICED a hockey game was going on. That was REALLY embarassing!! I'm not even going to address the atmosphere early Sunday PS - are you on the clock with these postings Canuck? If so...tsk tsk! I'm off on mondays so I'm clean...some would say I'm WAY OFF every day... DON'T GO THERE!!

I think Jake knows his run is over and he's cool with that...the injury definately took away from his playing time this season but he's had a decent run. I think Jake was a victim to the "senior burnout" that a lot of Sioux goalies who are competing for playing time all during their careers get (like Andy Kollar). All you can do is wish them the best and say thanks! Phil is the future...JP is the present but yeah, I wish he wouldn't roam around as much too!!

have we gotten off topic here

violence against Grinders of course!!! Anyone who doesn't finish a grinder should go to prison for a term of not less than 1 year!!! Pounding a bison fan is like speeding your pregnant wife to the hospital....yeah, it's TECHNICALLY against the law but people understand why you do it and they don't care!!

I know the recipe for the garbage plate if that's any help...

Does JPars' performances against Wisconsin make him the goalie of choice for the Sioux down the stretch run? I think the jury is still out but he's definately got the inside track. 1 weak goal in two games and, with the HELP of a pipe for change , salvages a tie for the Sioux on Sunday. I know he's got a lot of detractors here but I say, it couldn't happen to a nicer guy. He comes to UND with everyone thinking he's "part of the deal" with bringing Zach here - that's a hell of a stink to come in with but no one works harder at proving he can play on this level. Go to practice and see who's out on the ice 15 minutes or more before any other guy. When you've got that much competition for the position as the Sioux have had...it's gotta be a nutbuster pressure-wise every day. Congrats Jordan on handling it well! You got my vote!

okay...I should have called...YES!! I've fallen off the wagon!!! but these guys are SUCH DORKS!!!!! for example...BISONDAN rhymes with DIIIFAN! (which is about what they are...) Please help me!!! I'm trying not to personally hunt down each one of these bison losers and introduce them to a Red Pepper FIST sandwich!:-)* but I can't HELP IT!!! (haha) *(This post does not endorse physical OR verbal violence in ANY way!):-)

These dorks that keep saying JP hasn't earned a serious shot at #1 goalie haven't been playing much attention all season and especially the last few weeks. He's been a solid alternate ALL YEAR! He got the only win at Anchorage last weekend...then overcame a bad first goal to be VERY SOLID today for the Sioux win (thank Smaby for the 2nd Wisco Goal!) Phil might get the start tomorrow but it's clear the momentum has shifted at the end of the season...Jordy has EARNED his spot...not from his name but from hard work. I think that's what it's all about...
-
agreed..might be time for the pasture and a job with the Alumni association preaching the UND gospel to potential donors instead of players. Face it...DESPITE his personality, Gene gets it done year after year - Rich hasn't produced since being handed supreme talent in the early '90's. He is an asset to UND...just not on the BB court...
-
I seriously think this year was his last shot....with UND hosting the Elite8 at the Ralph it was a great opportunity for him to go out on a high note. Looks like now he'll just go out...
-
dataflix?? I hear that's pretty good
-
WHOA!! ndsu might get behind the curve early if that start an EQ program because they're ALREADY full of *HIT (sorry monster, couldn't resist! I think my 30 day moratorium is up anyway....)
-
good luck to the MASTODONS!! (with a name like that - they'll need it ) PS - funny how no conference affiliation can really come back to bite you...
-
Just guessing here but I assume this wasn't the magical senior season Ben McLean was dreaming off ...guess a .675 save percentage won't really do it It must be an even year when the #3 and #4 seeds from the EAST are in the championship...then again, when they have the tradition of the GF schools, it's really no suprise. I wouldn't have called it before the tourney but here we are!! So lets turn out for the championship tomorrrow night! Should be FUN!!

ps...Bisondan? Your genius shows in every post you write...thanks for your contributions!
