Just because the success of a particular team doesn't "hold the meaning to life" doesn't mean that we should just be fine and dandy with whatever is happening, no matter how messed up it is. I was there at the end of Gino's tenure. I do not wish to repeat that experience.

Please don't bring NDSU-CKS into this. We need an athletic director who doesn’t give endless contract extensions and thinks wins and losses don't matter. And 5 of our programs need new leadership (Hockey, MBB, WBB, VB and softball). And only Armacost can make it happen.

Idk, I feel a tipping point has been reached this year. The fan base is starting to understand how dysfunctional the program has gotten. And that will lead to more calls for change.

The portal is fine to fill the occasional hole. But I would hope the new coach would take a long term view of program building and focus on recruiting and retention.

If a coaching change results in temporary recruiting setbacks, it will be worth it if the program is healthier in the long run.

The new coach would have to do what Schmidt did when he took over FB. Reach out to them and tell them his vision for program.
