Too bad the refs probably won't let it happen.

End of 2nd period. 6-0 lead. Let's play smart and not get anyone hurt in the final 20 minutes. And no game DQ's either; we have Duluth at home next weekend and we need all hands on deck.

You get caught standing around in your own end and that's what's going to happen. Come on boys, we are running out of time to get into the top five in the league.

I went to the UND-SDSU game in Brookings in 2002 (the game Kelby Klosterman got injured in ) and I thought it was a total dump. The west stands looked like something out of the Depression era and the east stands were so fragile-looking that I thought I might break through them! That was over seven years ago and there is no telling how bad they are now. I wish them luck in improving their stadium situation, it will hurt their recruiting sooner or later.

Well, if you get CBC on your cable package, you will get Canadian Olympic coverage since that is Canada's official Olympic network. I get CBC, so I will get some extra hockey games out of it.

It isn't just Fargo that people west of Jamestown don't like. During the 1999 Legislative Session where funding for the Grand Forks flood protection system was being debated, some western legislators didn't want Grand Forks to get one red cent. Now you can expect Fargo to get the same level of static when it comes time to fund a diversion project. Fargo needs quality, dependable flood protection and the whole state should work together to help them get it.

Good point. All I want at this point is to get a much-needed two out of four points on the road. We are looking at hitting the road for the first round if we don't start getting points every weekend. And I don't know if this team has it in them to win a road series.

Lamoureux Family in Sports Illustrated

Just cut out the article about the Lamoureuxs and toss the rest of it. That's what I did. -
I think Jim is way more tolerant than some other forums are of minority opinions or controversial viewpoints. And the rules cover common sense things that are unacceptable just about everywhere in society at large. Anyone who has a problem with how this forum is administered is way too sensitive and is just asking for anarchy, which is bad for everyone.

I recall another team that had trouble finishing their chances. It was the 1995-96 team with the first freshmen class under Dean Blais. Well, the very next year (1996-97) those same forwards that couldn't finish started finishing and we won our sixth NCAA title. And those very same freshmen finished as one of the winningest classes in school history. That is what I am hoping will happen with this current group of players that are having trouble finishing.

Is that even around anymore? Didn't that stop when he graduated? That was more entertaining than most of what has happened on the ice this year anyway.

Better start looking for an alternate team to cheer for in the Final Five because I don't think the boys in Green and White will be there unless they buy ticket packages. This team is just not that good. It isn't about talent on paper, it's about putting it all together for 60 minutes. Tonight we had a 2-0 lead at home and were controlling the game pretty good and just screwed it away. Once the rock got rolling down the hill it was all over. I think next season we'll be more consistent with all these young guys coming back (none of them have really made a case to leave early), but I think this season is now about rebuilding and preparing for the future. I think there is a good chance that we get swept in two weeks at St. Cloud; the Huskies are looking good right now. The one series I think we have a good chance to sweep is the final regular season home series vs. Michigan Tech. And by that time, it might be too late to salvage home ice for the first round. Unless we pull it together and start playing better as a team, I don't think these boys have it in them to win a playoff series on the road. We MUST get home ice or I think the season will be over.
