  1. A few shots that reach the net at any time would be nice. Based on what I saw this weekend, I think a couple of more losses are a distinct possibility.
  2. Based on how they run it, I would say Gene Roebuck (everyone has to touch it before anyone shoots).
  3. Yeah, that just makes us all warm and fuzzy inside. Will someone please hand me the barf bag now; I will need one every time I hear a "duckie and bunny" quote about this team.
  4. And can you honestly tell Oxbow6 and anyone else on here that there is no good reason to complain about the status and performance of this team? That it isn't Muss and company's fault because they aren't out there making the mistakes? Or will you tell all of us to blow it out our rear ends, which is what you have done in the past when people disagree with you? The ball is now in your court, sir.
  5. Agree with all this. Hak's Jacques Lemaire style of offense simply will not work in the NCHC and it has never worked in March and April when we have to go up against those speedy, skilled teams from out east.
  6. This, boys and girls, is the new standard for UND football. This is how far we have fallen as a program. And according to some people on here, they are fine and dandy with this. Well boys and girls, I am not. Mr. Faison, it is time to pull the trigger and start over fresh next year. Or 5,000 will be a "large" crowd at the Alerus Center in 2014.
  7. I think the concern is that there are teams that are much better than St. Cloud within and outside our conference and that if we don't get our act together fast, things will get ugly in a hurry. This league is tough top to bottom and it won't take us long to dig a deep hole to climb out of. I don't want to be on the road for the first round of the NCHC playoffs.
  8. I am afraid that your points will fall on deaf ears on this forum. FWIW, I agree with you.
  9. Getting swept at home by Michigan Tech in 2006 was way worse than this. But you are right, this is completely unacceptable for a program of our caliber.
  10. I challenge any of the eternal optimists on here to defend this product and make a credible case for bringing Mussman back for another season. I say you cannot do it. Prove me wrong.
  11. He has used coach speak more than any other coach of any other team on campus since he took over in 2004. I don't even bother listening to the coaches show on Wednesdays because I just cannot stand to hear the same old material over and over again.
  12. Play 60 minutes and get the split. We cannot afford to be swept at home.
  13. I have pointed this out before. Hakstol is about structure, structure, structure......and that is all he seems to care about. That might work during the course of the regular season and get us into the playoffs, but after that we get beat by teams with skill and speed who are not afraid to use it to their advantage. Sometimes I think Jacques Lemaire is coaching this team's offense, along with Gene Roebuck coaching the power play (everyone has to touch it before anyone shoots). I do think we'll develop some consistency by Christmas, but it is hard to watch a team shut it off for long stretches and not be able to turn it back on.
  14. Well, I don't believe in plagerizing other people's work.
  15. Apparently, you didn't catch the end of my message. Here is a refresher course: For all our problems, I will take America's legal system over most legal systems in the world. And FYI, I am 39 years old.
  16. Apparently, some people on here are not fans of "innocent until proven guilty" and all the other due-process protections the accused are afforded in America. Would you prefer an authoritarian police state? Would that make you feel all warm and fuzzy and safe? Well, you can pack your bags and move to Singapore if you want that. As for me, I'll stick with America's imperfect (but preferrable) system of due process. And please, enough of the name-calling. Make your points without making it personal.
  17. A simple call to the police and the highway patrol with license plate number and description of the vehicle would have yielded the same results. There is no way that turkey would have gotten away.
  18. Might I remind you that the United States has the biggest prison population in the Western Industrialized world (2.5 million). Should we double it to 5 million? Would that make us all safer? No and no are the answers to those questions. As for "harsher punishments", we have tried mandatory minimum sentencing and all we have succeeded in doing is jailing non-violent drug offenders for 5, 10, 15 even 20 years and it hasn't stopped drugs from being bought and sold. We need to shift our policy towards non-violent drug users from jail time to drug treatment. Then we'll have room for the really dangerous people in our society.
  19. Okay then, prod the Legislators that represent you in Bismarck (whomever they are) and get them to introduce a law authorizing vigilante justice in certain circumstances. This wasn't a case where someone was defending themselves from a knife attack or using a gun to stop a home invasion, this was pure vigilantism. Either we are a nation and society of laws or we aren't and if we allow people to commit crimes because somebody committed a crime against them first, we are encouraging Hatfield and McCoy type behavior. There is a fine line between civilization and anarchy and this episode is proof positive of that. The "victim" in this case should be convicted and should do some serious time. But you can feel sorry for him if you want.
  20. Well, for my money, St. Cloud State and NDSU have much uglier campuses than UMTC. And MSU-Mankato is one of the prettiest I have seen.
  21. Wilbur, that is a pretty safe bet!
  22. Well, it has gotten hard to find good things to say about Mussman. He is a good coordinator, but just doesn't seem to have a grasp on the head coaching position.
  23. Yes, I am done arguing with the tone-deaf. Now, what are the odds that Faison pushes the button on Mussman? I say 50/50.
  24. What I wrote was the truth, truth that some of our fans don't want to hear, see or read. If you look at the past 10-15 years and connect all the dots, it makes sense. Some people did understand the point I was trying to make, even if they didn't agree with all of what I wrote. I guess you didn't.
