I don't think the Women's team will be bad this year; they'll bounce back once they get their injured players back in the line-up. But it will be interesting to see how the Women's team bounces back from a very disappointing 2014-15 season. As for the Men's program, you are right about the leash Jones has been given and it is a serious concern.

It's definitely something that needs to be watched this season, that's for sure.

If you are talking about having bowl games for the teams that don't make the 24 team field, then I could get on board with this. And the FBS field of 4 will be expanded to 8 in the next five years. There will be too much controversy over teams getting left out that are just as good as the team being included. And there is way too much $$$$$ that can be made with an extra round of games.

Cripes, it took us literally decades to get rid of that horse*bleep* "bowl system" in FBS, and now you guys are trying to install it in FCS? The playoff system needs a better selection process and a set of consistent criteria, but it is still way better than any of this boneheaded bowl BS.

So we can have the national champion "voted on"? I don't think so.

You and I both know that if this happened to almighty, untouchable NDSU, Bisonville would have crashed and melted down Sunday morning. So please get off your high horse and stop acting holier-than-thou about this.

The FCS will rue the day that this team was jobbed out of a hard-earned playoff spot this year. Judgement Day is coming.

I am thinking we should start scheduling SEC teams every year so we can have at least one "quality loss" on our resume.

Well, you did predict the next FB coach two years ago.

I also have seen talented teams (the San Diego Chargers of the mid-2000's for example) underachieve and fall far short of expectations.

Faison left Mussman in place way too long. And he gave him that ill-advised extension after winning the "prestigious" Great West Football Conference Championship. The fact that Bubba has turned the program around much sooner than most of us ever dared to imagine does not change the fact that Faison was slow to pull the trigger.

And the positive exposure it would give our program.

The program is going in the right direction. In a couple of years, no one will remember those "second half collapses".

Good coaching attracts better players.

Should be, but won't be. Remember, there are some people in our fan base that think Mussman got a raw deal. Jones will be allowed to finish his current contract and whomever takes over will have to clean up the mess. That's the Faison Way.

And that is happening.

They could do worse. A lot worse. It would also put Lennon back into the Midwest, where he has had most of his success.

The seat has to be getting warm for him. They built all new facilities when they hired Lennon (stadium included) and they haven't done all that much with them.

If that is the case, where did this "7 FCS wins" criteria come from? It gets thrown around like it's an actual rule.
