This issue died the moment the State of North Dakota signed that legal agreement with the NCAA. I don't like it that the name and logo are gone, but I also don't think it makes sense to keep banging our heads against the wall when we won't make a dent in it.

I don't see the school 75 miles to the south of us "adjusting to the expectations of playing at this level", all they do is win conference tournaments and go to the NCAA tournament. All we do is hope to scrape together enough wins to get a CIT bid. Enough of this garbage; UND didn't move all its programs up to "adjust" to being a perennially mediocre program.

I was giving my opinion on how the team looked at the time and that I didn't know if they could snap out of it by this weekend. That doesn't mean I didn't want them to win or believed that they absolutely, positively wouldn't win the regional. But when you tank your conference tournament like that one week before the west regional, only a delusional fan wouldn't be worried about it. And I am not a delusional fan. So yes, I was concerned. But they came out right from the get-go on Friday night and never looked back. Congrats to them and to the coaching staff.

But the same principles of excellence can be applied wherever you are. For UND, that means being perennial Big Sky conference contenders in both the regular season and in the post-season tournament, which will translate in NCAA tournament appearances and eventually some wins. The Cow College one hour south of here has established expectations like these and it is high time Faison and Kelley start doing the same around here.

Yep, the teams from that conference are very plucky and play like there is nothing to lose. Because for them, there isn't.
