  1. Just keep the siouxsports.com domain name and then have it forward to hawksports.com or ridersports.com or whatever it ends up being. Over time, it will become known to everyone and you won't lose anyone.
  2. I have went there a couple of times and honestly, I like Hugo's better.
  3. I guess I was talking about looking petty in a town you have just moved to and a town where you are trying to get people in the door and possible come back again and again. I suppose they'll work something out like they usually do.
  4. That would improve my opinion of Faison big-time.
  5. It's not like Hugo's is trying to set up a store in front of Hornbachers, it's a freaking restaurant. It might even drive up business as people will eat and then grab a few grocery items while they are there. But no, that makes too much sense. Hornbachers should worry more about competing with the local giant (Hugo's) and stop worrying about a totally different kind of business being built next door.
  6. Don't they usually honor the seniors during the last regular season home game? I know hockey does it like that.
  7. And make it difficult for those of us who have season tickets to both to make it to REA in time for that game. There are no easy solutions for these "triple-header" weekends.
  8. That is what I was thinking as well.
  9. That was just two weeks after the meltdown vs. Omaha that ruined that entire season. The program really was never the same after that as a Division II playoff contender.
  10. I'll take 5,000 rowdy fans over 10,000 docile fans every day and twice on Sundays.
  11. LOL, nicely played sir.
  12. Feel free to negative vote anything you want.
  13. I see you are in fine form today. When you don't have a good response, go for the gutter. Now, please explain to us again why an AHL team would work in Grand Forks?
  14. I think you have that backwards.
  15. I feel the same way and figured that is what you meant.
  16. I have already explained it in other posts in other threads. But since you always buy whatever explanation you are served up no matter how puzzling the official explanation is, I won't bother explaining it again.
  17. I think the tide may be turning on that now that the choice is between Fighting Hawks and Roughriders. Which gives me even more ammo to my theory that Kelley was trying to help Fighting Hawks win when he let Nodaks survive the initial round of voting despite finishing 3rd.
  18. Just voted Roughriders for the third time. I can live with either one, but it is clear which one better reflects the criteria the Committee set forth. Go Riders Go!
  19. Agreed. However, whomever comes after Jones will have to be paid more. Otherwise, we might get another mediocre D-I assistant who can't cut it as a head coach. Because that is what we have right now.
  20. Nice cheap shot there buddy. Sometimes, the truth hurts, and the truth is that (outside of men's and women's hockey) our other programs (with a few exceptions) have underperformed compared to NDSU, a very similar institution to UND and with some of the same challenges (climate, geography, one-bid conference). The key is leadership and vision or lack thereof. NDSU has had that over the last 10 years and UND has not. We have a lot of work to do in several areas and to deny this is pure ostrich behavior.
  21. I just brought them up as an example, as they were very prominent leaders at UND for a long time. And your response seemed to indicate that they were part of the problem, which I took some exception to.
