With all the turmoil and chaos going on at WIU right now (not to mention the rumors of moving down a division), I am not surprised he picked UND instead.

What the $%&* is going on? It seems like every other day I check the FB forum, a kid is "leaving the team" for this or that. Enough bad news already! I know I said earlier that the coaching staff will have us ready for 2016, but that doesn't mean roster defections are a good thing. Anything that hurts our depth is not good.

Apology accepted. Whatever it is, I am sure Bubba and his staff will deal with it appropriately and have us ready for 2016. In Bubba We Trust.

That's cute. And it very well might not effect anybody else. But it would result in a lot of changes for UND and the schools in the BSC, MVFC and SL.

I have a feeling that other shoe will drop very soon.

I said it was speculation. But it is also worth watching. Nielson just made a lateral move within the same conference. That usually doesn't happen without some extenuating circumstances involved.

I posted this in another thread, but it seems more relevant here: Some people are speculating that Nielson moved from Western Illinois to South Dakota because of upcoming changes at WIU that may involve moving down to Division II for budgetary reasons. That would open up a spot in the MVFC/Summit League. And that would probably open up the debate within UND's fan base on if we should make the move so we are in the same league as the other Dakota schools. If this goes down, it will set off a possible domino effect in intercollegiate athletics in the Upper Midwest and Northern Plains.

The day is coming when EVERYTHING is in HD and SD doesn't even exist anymore.

They are probably planning their eventual trip to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.

They did before and they'll do so again.

Whatever the situation is/was, we need to establish a better media presence across the state and region. I can live with playing second fiddle to NDSU in Imperial Cass County, but not in the entire state and region. And that is what is happening right now. By watching television and listening to radio, you wouldn't even know there was a four-year research university in Grand Forks. If all we are going to do is bow down to the mighty Bison in everything, we will lose out on more than athlete recruits.

Then he should have just said so. A lot of our fans never really warmed up to him anyway.

That's what Jack Michaels did. He left his job as UND FB play-by-play voice saying "he didn't have time to do it anymore". The next thing you know, he has joined NDSU's radio broadcast team. I think that was the real reason he did what he did. Now they are all one big happy family. Isn't that sweet? (sarcasm)

I don't think Eddie Belfour was worse than today's goaltenders.

I agree 1000%. But some people on here will once again remind us that "We cannot afford it" and "It is easy to spend other people's money".

This would be yet another win for NDSU over UND. They keep getting more and more exposure and coverage and we keep getting less and less. If we don't sign with Midcontinent again, we better have a suitable replacement that either matches or improves on the coverage we have right now. The very thought of NDSU having wall to wall coverage of everything, while we are stuck with little or nothing makes me sick.

Whoops, my bad. I'll amend my original post to include those guys. It's hard to remember all the talent that's gone through this program.

I think that was a result of playing an equally talented team on the road. Nothing came easy this weekend.

I also don't think a midseason change does anything for the program. I guess I am just sick and tired of waiting for something to happen with this team under Jones. I have lost confidence that this team will do much of anything under his "leadership".
