  1. A buddy of mine has already said if Jones gets another contract, he is finished going to games. I am guessing a lot of people feel that way and it is something Faison should seriously consider before he gives this guy another contract.
  2. Want to hire the MSU-Moorhead coach before someone snatches him up? Fire off a (polite) email to this guy. brian.faison@athletics.und.edu Time to get serious about MBB around here.
  3. Well, he's still in Moorhead, but probably not for much longer. Here is the man who can make it happen: brian.faison@athletics.und.edu
  4. You don't think that was a catch? He didn't lose possession of it, he had his feet inbounds.....that is a catch. If the DB had been watching for the ball instead of grabbing the WR's jersey, EWU might be making plane reservations for Frisco right now, instead of cleaning out their lockers for the offseason.
  5. We are not there yet. We don't have the weapons on offense to exploit EWU. But I think we are close.
  6. It didn't help EWU that YSU's QB had pretty much all day to throw it. Just "playing coverage" and "keeping it in front of you" isn't enough, especially come playoff time.
  7. No one saw Dale Lennon leaving his alma mater when he did. Especially when he was the one pushing the hardest to move up to Division I.
  8. The south side of Fargo, yes.
  9. They are notorious for having spoiled-rotten brats on that team. Also, their fans are insufferable. Any other questions?
  10. Maybe the FU faithful can still go to Frisco and do some of this while they are there!
  11. I don't "hate" Faison, I am just don't want to lose Bubba or any other of our successful coaches. These things sneak up on you and before you know it, that person is gone and they aren't coming back. And if conversations about the future of our programs "suck all the enjoyment out of a great season and a great coaching staff" for you, then that is on you, not me.
  12. I think people remember Lennon up and leaving nine years ago and that is why they are a little bit concerned.
  13. Okay wise guy, do you think it's vital that Bubba be locked into a long-term deal? That is the issue here. And it is totally reasonable to make keeping our successful coaches a vital part of Faison's job. We should only lose coaches to FBS schools.....period. And if Kennedy meant what he said earlier this year about athletics being an important component of UND's overall mission and about how he wants to put together teams that compete for championships, he'll give Faison what he needs to accomplish those goals.
  14. I honestly cannot feel sorry for them.
  15. Well, with the omnipresence of social media, it really doesn't matter if it is announced or not, people will hear about it.
  16. So announcing scores from around the Big Sky Conference wouldn't be acceptable either?
  17. Wouldn't surprise me if it was his idea to not announce it. I suppose it would have been just fine to announce it if the Bison had won. That would have been the "classy" thing to do, right? Cripes, I miss the old days when rubbing the Bison's nose in a loss was not only acceptable, but expected. All this being nice to everybody all the time is truly nauseating.
  18. Like I posted elsewhere, letting Bubba walk because he costs too much is unacceptable and shouldn't even be on the table. Faison and Kennedy better figure out how to keep our successful coaches or we'll be treading water instead of winning titles.
  19. They must have forgotten about the butt-whopping we put on them 10 short days ago. This is why I will never tip my cap to them for anything.
  20. Enough of the cap tipping around here; I for one am overjoyed at FU going down in flames at home on national cable television. Since most of their fan base wouldn't give us the time of day for anything, I will not tip my cap to them for anything. Ever. And now, to celebrate this most joyous occasion, is AC/DC......
  21. And NDSU will face the same problems with paying their coaches. Unless they have some big wad of cash saved someplace that I don't know about.
  22. Ask yourself this question: Do you think in a MILLION YEARS the FU faithful would EVER cheer for UND in the FCS playoffs if their team wasn't in it? Or, to put it another way, if both North Dakota schools were in the playoffs at the same time, would the FU faithful cheer for us if we were in the playoffs playing someone else? I'll answer both of them in two simple words: HECK NO. So I will be returning the favor to them and be cheering for every single team that plays them. That is not low class. That is how rivalries work. I don't think Auburn fans will be cheering for Alabama in the CFP just because "it's good for the whole state". So it is for UND and NDSU.
  23. Agree 100% with this. Letting Bubba walk because he costs too much is not acceptable and should not even be discussed. We'll just end up where we were three years ago, with our team getting blown out at home and the visitor's section in The Al becoming a party zone. I don't want to go back to that. Do you? Faison and Kennedy need to figure out how to keep coaches that meet and exceed their job expectations or we'll just keep treading water.
