I agree with you. But Gino was on Bjorkman's staff when he was hired to run the program in 1978. And Gino clearly ran the program differently than Rube did. And the results showed it. So it's impossible to know for sure.

Gino was hired to replace Bjorkman and had been on Rube's staff. It was obvious from the start that Gino's idea of how to run a program was much different from Bjorkman's. It is entirely possible that Dane Jackson has a much different philosophy than Brad Berry did. That is the ONLY way hiring Jackson would make any sense at all.

The only way Dane Jackson makes sense is if he and Bubs have totally different ideas on how to run the program. Otherwise, this is merely rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic.

Almost as ironic as hiring Gwoz.

I think this also excludes Dane Jackson from being the hire. If they promoted from within, they wouldn't be advertising the job externally now.

That would be outrageous. But if they were planning on doing that, they would have already announced it.

Berry was promoted. There was no search at all.

No, it's not. That may be good enough for LSSU or Northern Michigan or Bemidji State. Not North Dakota. Not yesterday. Not today. Not ever. I think one of the reasons Gwoz was fired at Denver was a lack of national success. And national success was not defined by winning one tournament game every year. Denver's success is not a result of "luck". It's the result of hiring the right coach at the right time. Here's to a return to national level success.

If Armacost is running it behind the scenes, sure.

When that fourth Denver goal was waived off, I had a feeling your team would battle back and win.
