  1. Wipe the slate clean. Start over from scratch. A few rough seasons are worth it if it results in long-term success.
  2. Well, going with experience (Berry) didn't work out that well. So I am open to doing something different this time. I would also argue that Blais hadn't run a college program until we hired him in 1994. And that worked out pretty well.
  3. "But Chaves serves on a bunch of important committees! And he brought us the almighty Alston Awards! And it's all about GPA and community service hours! That's all you can ask!" (extreme sarcasm) I didn't think it could get any worse than Buning. But Chaves has set the standard for mediocrity and underachievement. Chaves must go.
  4. I agree with you. But Gino was on Bjorkman's staff when he was hired to run the program in 1978. And Gino clearly ran the program differently than Rube did. And the results showed it. So it's impossible to know for sure.
  5. Okay son, please enlighten us all.
  6. Those sources have to be better than tracking tail numbers.
  7. Nobody knows anything. Those who know aren't talking. Those who are talking don't know.
  8. Something has been in the works for awhile.
  9. Then why didn't they just hold a press conference this morning and announce it? That's what they did when Hakstol left.
  10. Anything under 90% is unacceptable.
  11. Gino was hired to replace Bjorkman and had been on Rube's staff. It was obvious from the start that Gino's idea of how to run a program was much different from Bjorkman's. It is entirely possible that Dane Jackson has a much different philosophy than Brad Berry did. That is the ONLY way hiring Jackson would make any sense at all.
  12. The only way Dane Jackson makes sense is if he and Bubs have totally different ideas on how to run the program. Otherwise, this is merely rearranging the deck chairs of the Titanic.
  13. Almost as ironic as hiring Gwoz.
  14. Please beat them! I don't want them anywhere close to a Natty.
  15. I think this also excludes Dane Jackson from being the hire. If they promoted from within, they wouldn't be advertising the job externally now.
  16. That would be outrageous. But if they were planning on doing that, they would have already announced it.
  17. Berry was promoted. There was no search at all.
  18. No, it's not. That may be good enough for LSSU or Northern Michigan or Bemidji State. Not North Dakota. Not yesterday. Not today. Not ever. I think one of the reasons Gwoz was fired at Denver was a lack of national success. And national success was not defined by winning one tournament game every year. Denver's success is not a result of "luck". It's the result of hiring the right coach at the right time. Here's to a return to national level success.
  19. If Armacost is running it behind the scenes, sure.
  20. When that fourth Denver goal was waived off, I had a feeling your team would battle back and win.
  21. That would be irony on steroids.
  22. Congrats to your team on NCHC regular season and playoff titles. THANK YOU for beating Denver on Saturday night. I am so sick and tired of those hideous red uniforms and little Opie Taylor behind the bench. Good luck going forward. Keep it in the NCHC.
