I've been saying this for a long time. Build a large donor base and remain engaged with them year-round. But then I get slammed for "spending other people's money". Well, that's how intercollegiate athletics is funded everywhere, so we either get with it, or get left behind.

100% agree with you here. She does not represent "the hand that feeds us"; she is siphoning off money that could be used to help UND athletics as a whole. Also, it was RALPH Engelstad who built the arena, not his daughter. The idea that we have to find another $100 million donor for FB and whatever else is the wrong approach. Smaller donations from a larger pool of alumni would be a much better approach to fundraising.

I come here hoping to see some good news. Is that a mistake?

How big of a sample size do you need? This program is 100% Bubba's now. And the same problems are still there. I used to defend Bubba on here all the time. I wondered how long it would take you to call me out for expressing an opinion you don't like. It's one of your favorite hobbies. Anyway, back to the topic at hand......... He basically said if you don't like it, pay the money so you can sit there. I know how to read between the lines and I know what a crock of horse$%!@ is when I see it, hear it and smell it. He also said it isn't changing, so they are obviously not responding to the empty seats. Btw, this is Year 2 of this failed experiment. You know what the definition of insanity is, right? If the real reason is safety of the spectators, then just come out and say it. Don't talk to people like they are stupid. As I said, this is something you try after you sell out your home games. Not before.
