I had strong differences with Mr. DiLorenzo when he was Provost. But nobody deserves what happened to him. May God bless his widow and his other family members as they grieve during this difficult time.

When somebody floated UND going non-scholarship in FB during our transition, I basically said we are better off without FB than settling for non-scholarship FB. I suspect St. Thomas may do the same thing.

Again, here is that insane idea of every program has to support itself with it's own revenues. That isn't how intercollegiate athletics works and it likely never will work that way. As for Ray Richards, I think it is worthwhile to have and I am glad it is coming back.

Does anyone have one or both games of the January 31-February 1, 1997 home series vs. Minnesota? That was a crucial series in the Dean Blais rebuilding project. It solidified us as a legitimate title contender and not a first-half fluke. The entire campus was buzzing about the series the week before and the atmosphere was unreal.

Unless they go back to their old buns, it may not matter.
