  1. You are right. Plenty of prospects to recruit.
  2. So should Eaves get a 2016 championship ring?
  3. Yeah, I agree with you. But it's easier said than done.
  4. How's the quality?
  5. Yeah, Eaves ruined his legacy at Wisconsin with all that overrecruiting.
  6. I just don't want to have a hole in our recruiting class.
  7. Very sad news. She was a key piece of our National Championship three-peat in the 1990's. RIP Katie. I posted this in another discussion, but I think it applies here as well: This incident is a reminder that our time on this planet is finite and tomorrow is not guaranteed to us. We complain about bad playcalls, our teams underachieving and so on. And that is what this forum is for. But it is good to have a reminder once in awhile that life should be cherished and not taken for granted.
  8. Not a bad choice. Didn't give up much to get him either. Low risk, high potential reward.
  9. First CFP rankings come out tonight. My top four: 1) Georgia, 2) Michigan, 3) Florida State, 4) Ohio State
  10. Agree. You don't win big at this level without a franchise QB. PS: Before someone brings up Trent Dilfer and the 2000 Ravens, that was an exception to the rule.
  11. Winston had 30 TDs and 30 INTs one season with Tampa. He is a high risk/high reward player.
  12. This isn't a circus. The NFL is about winning games and championships. That is what drives ticket and merchandise sales. Being "fun to watch" is no substitute for winning. The Vikings need more talent across the board and you only get that via the draft. I think you could bait Jerry Jones into giving up a lot of draft capital for Justin Jefferson. It would make the Cowboys more "fun to watch", but I don't think it would make them Super Bowl favorites. And it's about time to get payback for the Hershel Walker trade.
  13. Wow. I've been warning people this could happen at any time. This is where ignoring the QB position for years comes back to bite the Vikings in the a$$.

  15. Way too early in the game for a fake FG.
  16. I imagine the spectators who saw it in person will need therapy. I think I would.
  17. This happened to Mitch Vig in practice at UND in the mid-1990's. Blais and his staff were able to stop the bleeding before he bled out. Vig was cut on the wrist and not the neck, but he still could have died without immediate intervention.
  18. Don't go there. Remember, as long as the student-athletes are doing well in the classroom and in the community, wins and losses don't matter. And our coaches will continue getting contract extensions. It's the UND way. (sarcasm)
  19. What about a five year contract extension? I bet that is being worked on as we speak. I would chip in a couple hundred dollars towards a buyout. If enough fans were to do the same, it might inspire more stakeholders to step up. That would put pressure on Chaves to at least think about the future of the FB program and whether milktoast 7-4 seasons are good enough for the Flagship U.
  20. Anyone else getting sick of goaltenders having "great games" against us? After having two "great games" against us, Close gets lit up by the Badgers. Now watch this guy get lit up in his next game. We will face good goaltending all year in the NCHC. Are we going to pull out the old "hot goalie" excuse every time we don't win? I bet BU's goaltender is licking his chops for next weekend. It could get him on the early season Hobey watch list.
