  1. If we want to take the next step as a program, we have to figure out how to win on the road.
  2. Do we break 8000 for attendance next week? I know I'll be there.
  3. Time to put Friday's debacle behind us. A split will be a great boost to our confidence and school pride. Getting swept at home would be humiliating and concerning. GO SIOUX, GOPHERS SUCK!!!
  4. Our recruiting took a dive for a few years, but it's rebounded big-time recently.
  5. Certain posters on here believe the B1G is going to take over the sport and UND will get left behind. I am simply pushing back on that narrative with facts.
  6. Let's please not do that FB vs. MH crap. I want both of them to succeed on a national level.
  7. But those pieces have to work together and not take whole periods off. I think we'll know more by Christmas.
  8. I honestly don't think we are that bad, though. St. Thomas, which probably still has some Division 3 players, put 4 goals on this team. And we can't put up even one? If we really are this bad, we have bigger problems to deal with. And I think we all know what that means.
  9. Let's look at recent NCAA champions: Denver: Small private school. Quinnipiac: Small private school. UM-Duluth: Public, four year university that is Division 2 in all other sports and will never be confused with a Power 5 school. BU & BC: Both small private schools. Haven't won a natty in awhile, but don't seem to have problems reeling in top talent. None of those schools are, and likely never will be, Power 5 schools. Yet, they keep reeling in top recruits and/or hanging NCAA title banners. And they have a fraction of the resources UND and other, even larger schools have. The idea that UND can't compete with these schools and is now a "plucky little mid-major" program that "backfills with overagers" to be competitive is pure baloney. It does not have to be that way. There's no reason it has to be that way. And it turns my stomach to think of us becoming one of the Alaska schools or Miami. It cannot be allowed to ever happen. Period.
  10. I used to push the panic button in October all the time. I ended up looking foolish in March.
  11. Are you going to start with your "B1G rules the world" malarkey again? We've done very well in recruiting recently and we have some talented freshmen and sophomores on the team now. Put the Jump to Conclusions mat away, please.
  12. I figured people would be pulling this out of the closet after one bump in the road: Three games is too small of a sample size to start talking about coaching changes.
  13. Shooting into the logo isn't going to work.
  14. Blake is going to see that open net he missed on a rebound in the first period in his dreams tonight.
  15. The point is that sitting on any lead can bite you in the a$$.
  16. How did that work for them in April?
  17. I predicted a split before this weekend. I think that is what will happen.
  18. St. Thomas put four goals on the board last Friday. So it is possible to score on them.
  19. Looks like goaltending will be all right this season.
  20. Shots are more even vs. last year's games in Minneapolis. Just no energy in the second.
  21. There needs to be something to cheer about first.
  22. That $#@& breakaway goal will be our Waterloo tonight.
