  1. Whether Einstein ever said it or not and whether it bugs you or not, it aptly describes how the coaching staff is managing the lines this season. And it is a legitimate area of concern.
  2. The whole Flyers franchise was a dumpster fire when he was there. Not much chance of real success.
  3. What was the definition of insanity again?
  4. A lot of teams in the PWR are close together. So this is technically possible. But with this team's inability to put more than two solid games together, it is highly unlikely.
  5. Imagine being blind to harsh realities.....
  6. We are so irrelevant in the Dakotas, it is not even funny. And that starts at the top.
  7. Just another feather in the cap of UND "Leadership" (sarcasm).
  8. So we are back to this "plucky little mid-major" bull$h!t again? Just the thought of that makes me nauseous. We are a blue blood program. PERIOD. END OF STORY. We cannot, should not....and WILL NOT "get used to" anything less. I honestly have never seen our athletic programs in such a state of decay and decline. President Armacost and the Alumni Association need to provide better leadership in this area.
  9. You are right, it is something to celebrate. I am just a little ornery about the state of our programs right now.
  10. They are out there. But don't expect them to come right out and say it in those words.
  11. I am referring to the notion some people have that you can have great students or great athletes, but not both. And some of those same people think as long as the players do well in the classroom, it doesn't matter how many they win or lose. I have always felt that is a false choice.
  12. Then I guess everything is just fine.
  13. I cannot help it when reality is negative. I would much rather talk about big wins, big upsets over big-name schools and how far we can get in the NCAA tournament. But those things are light years away at this point. For the record, I think the biggest overall problem is the lack of institutional support for our athletic programs not played on ice. Unless that is solved, we could get Rick Pitino in here and it probably wouldn't work.
  14. What is the "benefit" of keeping Sather? The farther the program sinks into the abyss, the fewer butts will be in the seats of the BESC. And the farther it sinks, the harder it will be to pull out. There is ZERO buzz about MBB at UND right now. ZERO. That doesn't generate revenues.
  15. Which is something that @jdub27has never understood. He seems to think that everything should be positive on a message board. Well, the world ain't 100% positive, so that kind of Ducky and Bunny thinking simply does not work.
  16. I said IF he extends Sather. Whether he does it or not remains to be seen. Letting Sather coach for his job next season is also a possibility. Chaves is an empty suit. We could do much better in that position.
  17. If Chaves extends Sather, it is Chaves that needs to be shown the door.
  18. Now they need to take down the Eagles. Crash Eagles Crash!!!
  19. Just like goaltenders in hockey.
  20. Please don't bring that topic up. I am in a foul enough mood regarding this team as is.
  21. And other players pass up open shots for passes to guys that are covered. Both are problems.
  22. So we shouldn't question decisions, tactics and strategies that simply have not worked? And a coaching staff that is clearly lost as to how to turn it around? Whatever makes you sleep better at night, I guess.
