  1. Do they even have one?
  2. Great, just great.
  3. The biggest issues are mental. Getting over the NDSU hump was a huge accomplishment mentally. Now this program has to get over the hump on playing well on the road. And following up a big win with a solid performance the next weekend. Those problems are difficult to pin down and fix. I am not opposed to giving Feeney a look at starting QB, but I don't know if that would fix the problems I outlined above.
  4. I agree with you on this. Leadership takes on many different forms. Some leaders are loud and charismatic. Some are quiet and lead by example. I honestly don't think Tommy is the biggest problem with this team (not even close). It's the inability to follow up a big win with a solid performance the next week. And we have to figure out how to win on the road. We'll never accomplish anything beyond making the playoffs if we don't learn how to win outside the friendly confines of the Alerus Center.
  5. I cannot figure this team out. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Placing bets on Vikings games is very risky; you never know which version will show up.
  6. @jdub27 should at least get the names right if he's going to scold and preach.
  7. Just like the team did last Monday?
  8. I decided to be nice.
  9. This is my assessment of UND and Minnesota after Saturday's game: "You play baseball coach for a moment. Two players run to first. They both have the same time, but one has perfect form, the other, lousy form." UND is the player with lousy form. Minnesota is the player with perfect form. Which one do you pick? The one with lousy form. (UND) Why? ‘Cause teach him the right form...and he beats the other guy. Check back in April to see if I am right.
  10. That whole thing was ridiculous.
  11. IALTO!!!
  12. When Blake missed a wide open net on a rebound in the first period, were we on a power play? I don't remember. Close gave up a ton of juicy rebounds this weekend. We need to get guys in position to take advantage of those when they are available. That could help us win some games going forward.
  13. To be honest, the parents of young athletes are the absolute biggest problem in youth sports. So I see your point.
  14. It's the general attitude: We lost, bad game.....but they're just "student-athletes", so we should just move on. You have to read between the lines to see it, but it is there. @UND-FB-FAN is right: We have been conditioned to accept slightly-above .500 football seasons as the best we can hope for. And I honestly think we can do much better.
  15. And I'll bet those student-athletes are building life-long relationships and learning life lessons while also winning.
  16. Isn't that a recipe for officials not being held accountable for their lack of performance? Maybe that's why refs keep their jobs despite poor performance. Putting the wrong player in the box (twice!) has nothing to do with being "human". It is pure incompetence.
  17. Anyone who thinks UND gets preferential treatment from NCHC officials is clearly uninformed.
  18. So it's no different than high school athletics? That is the attitude holding FB and other programs back. You may be satisfied with 6-5 and 7-4 seasons with an occasional playoff appearance sprinkled in, but I think we are capable of so much more.
  19. PP will come around. Sometimes you just need one to go in to take away the frustration factor.
  20. That is gross incompetence. How some of these refs keep their jobs is beyond my understanding.
  21. Maybe @Wilbur just wants everybody to have fun, but these are two non-conference games that will have PWR implications come March. As @Goon likes to say: Anything less than a sweep is unacceptable.
  22. So just accept that the status quo is as good as it will ever get? We are capable of so much more. We need to establish a Division I funding model that doesn't rely so much on 50/50 raffles and selling tickets to walk-up crowds on game day.
  23. Who are you again?
  24. Nope. I plan on holding that win over NDSU's head until we play them again.
  25. Bubba did a great job cleaning up the dumpster fire Mussman left him, but I think he has taken us as far as he can.
