You realize that a crappy regular season makes it harder to make the playoffs, let alone win once you get there. WMU had a great regular season last year and won their first natty. Your logic is illogical.

So what's your point? We should focus on securing home ice and not care about anything else? A good regular season gets you a good seed in the NCAA tournament.

So it's just like last year? Let's not exaggerate the situation.

Both of those goals were preventable. It had nothing to do with "lucky bounces". The second goal was especially bad, Spunar was hung out to dry. We are seeing how hard it is to win both regular season and playoff titles. WMU did it last year, but it doesn't happen too often. Thankfully, nobody's season is on the line in either semifinal game tonight.

There are 40 minutes left to salvage this, but I don't know how many times we can fall behind and still win.

Get traffic in front and grab any rebounds you can. And hold the zone on the offensive end; we've lost control on unforced errors more than once. And the goals we've given up were terrible defensive breakdowns. Leaving one of their best forwards all alone in front is not a recipe for success.

By stopping perimeter and outside shots and not having to stop a lot of rebounds? That's what goalies at this level do on a regular basis. Duluth is packing it in around the goal. We have to figure out how to dislodge them.

Shooting it into the chest doesn't work. And we aren't getting any second and third opportunities on net.

Logo killers aren't going to work.
