  1. This looked like a Saturday beer league shinny that a few guys brought their kids to and UND was the adults just letting the kids have the puck. Except that's wasn't the case.
  2. Classic 2nd period slumber party in the Ralph Fritz Library
  3. I thought the Angels had announced plans to fundraise for a rink somewhere in West Fargo close to the Lights area?
  4. It will. Dramatically. WDA as a whole is But at the same time Minot fills a: Varsity team JV team A Junior Gold team and I was told there's still a significant number of kids that were told "no place to play, you're done with hockey." That's a school board nightmare But that only takes into account pure numbers and not where they proportionally live throughout the two districts.
  5. No that's not true, the JV kids play and any new varsity players into the program (in their freshman, sophomore or junior year play the game, but no they do not send any of their JR (or Sr) players who are returning varsity players to play in the those games. I do believe It will bite someone in the end eventually, probablyhas in the past somewhere.. almost was Century last week and that was just for 3 points. It 100% is due to trying to get as many quality varsity non-conf games as possible in the archaic NDHSAA system... same way EDC doesn't have to schedule a May-Port. BHS tried to 6 point them.... and with their varsity, could not. Good on Hazen for working hard and competing.
  6. Legacy has had next to zero impact on players "taken" from BHS. This is a boogeyman myth spread by a few wack job conspiracy theory parents and Media guys. It's just absolutely not true. There are only a few at most, players who would have been playing for BHS since Legacy was formed, and frankly they would not make a negligible difference at the varsity level, sorry thats the truth. 95% of Legacy players came from the prior Century district lines. BHS is not, was not, and will not be significantly effected by the Legacy program. Sorry but really tired of this false narrative.
  7. These depths could have been avoided though, frankly the team that BHS "could" have had this year would be right there with Century, Mandan, Minot, and Legacy battling for state berths and maybe more. The lengths people have gone to NOT have their kids participate in the program is alarming, at least it should have been alarming. The things I've heard from the kids and parents who have moved on and/or away are heartbreaking. Lots of mistakes, attitudes, and ignorance throughout the situation over the past four or five years and it's manifested in the kids.... many have failed them. It's shameful and sad.
  8. The same Hazen team that lost to Century's JV a few days before just kicked the ever-loving crap out of Bismarck High last night... They were up 4 rip not even halfway through the 1st before Hazen took the foot off the gas a little, actually had them in runtime for a while in the 3rd. Times have changed a bit
  9. Well wish in one hand and..... You know the rest.
  10. Lovin' the city connect sweaters!
  11. From what I've found... most likely.
  12. Boy when I look at it I see a kid skating as hard as he can focused on the puck and sees a goalie where he basically ought not normally to be at the last second and made the worst decision (no decision) and just braced for impact. But I wasn't there and don't have a dog in it so I don't know the surrounding details... or how the game had been or if the kid was a frequent flyer for schinnanigans. Horse collar or strangle hold takedown was equally as egregious IMHO, not how to stand up for your teammate. Ugly Ugly Ugly all around.. Hope the kids heal up fast from injuries and lessons learned.
  13. Started looking for streaming option for all the teams. Availability is way beater than it has been following a few really basic YouTube channel examples. Was able to watch a few games last night and it was awesome. This is what I got so far, not sure if there are any updates or if there is a dedicated place for GFRR and West Fargo .
  14. Pionkashititis is a fungus they can't scrub out of dahloots lockerroom.
  15. The Picks. EDC WDA 1. Fargo North 1. Legacy 2. GF Central 2. Minot 3. Fargo South 3. Century 4. Fargo Davies 4. Mandan 5. GF Red River 5. Dickinson 6. WF Sheyenne 6.Jamestown 7. Devils Lake. 7. Hazen 8. West Fargo 8. Williston 9. Grafton 9. Bismarck HS 10. May-Port 10. Bottineau
  16. Saw this... felt it timely to share... Just a reminder that the soul crushing reality of being a Vikings fan..... has you right where it wants you right now, with hope and desperate longing for possibility. Tickled along with just enough of the drug you need to keep you hooked and addicted to the destruction you know is coming. There really should be a name from norse mythology that represents the evil that plagues these tortured souls.
  17. better background wasn't going to improve it. Is that all it takes for you to give up your beliefs and standards?
  18. Interested to hear the preseason prognostications out of the EDC.... not seeing a clear cut favorite?.. May be a 5 team barn burner. Out west it's Legacy then.... Minot? Century? roll the dice....
  19. Screnshotted and saved and would like to remind you that ss.com posts are in fact legally binding
  20. Just an absolutely underappreciated post. Truth with the appropriate level of snark. Declare thyself a winner today.
  21. wtf
  22. My gawwwwhd this guy is as much a cartoon character physically as he is a voice character.. That tuft of pubic haihrah floofing out from his headset is animation worthy
