Well Jay Caulfield (sp) is up on there twice ? He had 1 GP for Mens Hockey, Forgive me but I am fuzzy on that story, was too young at the time to know. Can someone fill me in, thanks.

KIAC can put all the "North Dakota only" questions to bed with one act. All he has to do is send a letter to the NCAA with the simple question of: "If the process produces "No Nickname, or "North Dakota" as the nickname, does this satisfy the agreement. YES or No." Now it may seem like I've just relayed to this oozing arogant prick exactly how he can stop out this no name camp, (of which I am a resident), or .....maybe not. What if the NCAA says, yeah sure, we good. Then what, I would think NoNick would win in a monumental landslide at that point. That's almost too much of a gamble to take for him. But surely the NCAA would Never go for such a thing, I mean that is what the armadillo hat and ostrich crowd keeps saying. So why not send the letter??? Either 1 of 2 reasons. 1: The NCAA would clarify that UND will be in compliance with just North Dakota. Or 2: This entire process is a giant horse and pony show, and he has already selected (Spirit) and the voting nor committees matter in the slightest, thus no need to be concerned with what is being "considered".

I would love to see UND in this tourney in their second year.

Yeah, now KIAC (Kelley) will have zero accountability when he selects the final name. (Which is Spirit... btw) The university should look, in the future, to have a class that looks at the unimaginable failure that KIAC's legacy of failed leadership.

Based on his maturity level another year in college, or in the AHL, frankly would seem it might do him well in the long run. But his talent level, (and the decrepit state of Sabreville) will not afford him that opportunity. Although..maybe Another yr at BU....maybe another year of BuffaSuck and...... They can land Mathews too.....as a long term strategy, that may be the best play. Eichel stays at BU as opposed to burning a yr of the ELC......2016/17...Eichel and Matthews make impact together.

I tend to agree but he has been ranked in top 10 by quite a few draft analyzers. We shall find out soon enough I guess, but I hope for at least 2 yrs on campus.

On the other hand some of the major crap that players like Subban and Perry pulled maybe should have resulted in a beating. It might have stopped some of the diving and cheap crap. But yeah until you brought it up, hadn't thought much about it. It has been mostly great hockey.

Complete miss of anything I was talking about. In fact almost exactly opposite of what I .....maybe failed to imply properly. Sorry In no way do I link Brad Berry with Wayne Gretzky or Ted Williams as far as players or comparing Brad Berry against Dane Jackson as for playing or coaching career. Discussion was on how many times a Great Player of his/her sport ( in no way implying Brad, Dane) are not successful in coaching roles as they can not relate and convey their natural greatness at said sport to developing players and coaching a team to success. Rather the role players who spend more time working at their craft in sub or bench roles develop a better knack of developing and coaching systems and talent cohesion. (In this instance coaches such as Dane, Brad, Hak, Mat Shaw) probably fall into moreso.
