  1. We definitely must not playing in the same men's league....... But seriously I often wonder for rec leagues if it wouldn't be a good idea (cya) bylaw to require cages or at least half shields.
  2. I feel the college game SHOULD go to the visor ....but won't. BIGA hit the nail on the head...potential litigation. .... Plus I do fear a tourney run being derailed by one day our integral player taking a deflection to the mug that shaters a jaw and ends a season in a late season game. There really is no comparison to playing with a visor compared to a cage it is simply much better for vision ....breathability....sweat management....adjustments you name it. In my exstensive days as a beer league winger... Ive tried almost every type of cage/visor/half/shield/nothing/bubble there is and its so much easier see with the visor. I dread everynight the thought of a deflected clapper or pitchforking kids stick taking out my pearly whites but its just miserable to use a cage for my eyes to focus ...... I tried no mask at all but the its just to much to risk without protecting the eyes....I can get a gold tooth .....dont want a glass eye. But the bubble... good lord its like trying to excersize with a ziplock bag around your head and the optic distortions can cause motion sickness. ..plus have you ever tried to toss back a PBR between shifts in a cage......yeah its not pretty. Luckily ive got a face that cant get fuglier from a puck to the bean...in fact a scar might make me look tougher as I give some 60 year old D man the evil eye before i trip over the blue line. So for now ....until I invent a full bubble with some oxygen infusing tubing....that never fogs or scratches....I go with a quality visor. The college game I dont believe will do the same.
  3. Lesson here is in acceleration and agility. A D1 athlete needs to be able to outrun a junior-rentacop-intraining through a park. #Littlehustlewouldvehadit
  4. Yep...I really hope Blues see what Porter has been able to do for the last 2 playoffs and give him a full year in the NHL
  5. last year he was a spark plug up and down the ice for the Maple Leafs in the playoffs he's been a healthy scratch so far for the Blue Jackets I wonder what's going on with him it just doesn't look like He has the fire he did last year
  6. Yes I was listening the day they screwed up and called "Gerbschmidt" on air and the clear channel guys voicemail picked up. It was a funny bit unlike the boardmember here who is doing a bit on the gfhockey posts.... But its good for page hits and views I guess....that in itself should narrow down the list of suspected attempted comedians.
  7. I hear ya...its just painful sometimes to slug through a wild game but then theres moments of enjoyment. Either way avs or wild a former sioux moves on. But I think the Avs are clearly better.
  8. I truly can see the other side of the coin as the Panthers would want him developing around better talent and against better talent.... plus his desire to have chance at nhl asap.... plus florida may be pushing as to not risk him lost in free agency.... But Rocco.....talk to the forborts....the hextalls....the players that toil away in ahl for 2 plus years.....stay another year... Get edgumacated .....it helps. Build on the life as a whole for right now and the right now that happens when hockey is over. I honestly believe that if Rocco can click here next year.....a Hobey Baker run is possible.
  9. I agree. I think that that is a very accurate post.
  10. Don Lucia has cooties. ..and cheats in carbs on non cheat days... #Siouxsportssecrets
  11. Also one could wear a tshirt that reads " HER GPA IS -->" And stand next to said 0.6 shirt goof fan which would be epic.
  12. Goofer fans will wear 0.6 shirts and jerseys for years....itll hurt itll bring back the memory and rub a little salt in the wounds. Gotta be honest we would probably do the same thing. Kinda do with the HC jerseys.....its all part of the rivalry. ....I dont think its all that bad....they won this one they get the rights to it. God knows we will get our turn back. As for the riots....im willing to bet a large % of those UM rioters actually did think they won the "ship"...judging by the empty seats at ucci it appears hockey interest is down....anyone who has ever been there and listened to their fans knows the hockey knowledge is down.
  13. That is a very astute opinion. I would agree.
  14. Watched the Bismarck bobcats game last night. Im excited to get Yon in the Sioux program...he seems like he has some great tools. You can sense he seems bit bored with the game at the NAHL level....he was very good with the puck and attacking the net for the most part. But for the rest of the game he seemed to glide around and basically hang out on the blue line until they could get the puck to him in the neutral zone. Some defensive presence but not much displayed. It looked almost as if just didn't give a crap unless he had the puck Once he had the puck....WOW what a shot. It will be very interesting to see how he does next year at the USHL level. Bobcats win their first round series so at least one more chance to watch him locally.
  15. This is the type of start to a season that fuels the passion to never let it happen again.
  16. I doubt it the ncaa is meticulous on logo policing. From water bottles to cans of certain soda makers...a Sioux logo violation would mean an ineligable player or worse if think. But you cant take the fighting Sioux out of their hearts!!!!
