If I could interject here and put my two cents in. To me the financials aside his leadership was ONE of things I thought he lacked. Allowing departments to run amuck with no direction. Case in point would be the whole EERC debacle. He sudpends/fires a guy by email while having the cops escort him out after giving a positive review of the guy just months before. I'm not saying the guy shouldn't have been fired cause it looked like the guy had been a problem for awhile. Kelley put his head in the sand until the situation got out of hand and then still didn't take a hands on approach. He had other people do his dirty work while he hid in the background.
The ability to deal with and manage difficult personalities is something great leaders possess. Kelley greatly lacked in this department. That's just one reason I didn't like Kelley. Not saying he's not a good person, just not a great leader. I'm sure UNDBIZ has some other specific reasons as well.
