That was my point. You have some or most posters here taking the position the UND's MBB is better than NDSU's because UND beat us head-to-head. Then as the season progresses and NDSU clearly becomes the better team (RPI and other rankings) and the Summit League is clearly rated ahead of the BSC, most UND fans say RPI and power rankings don't matter. We beat you head-to-head so that doesn't matter, and conference power rankings don't take into consideration the "eye" test or silly things like that. That's why I say St. Cloud State is better than UND in hockey--using UND logic to get there!! What's good for the goose is good for the gander, and, in this case, I'll go with that!!

I mean to even be having a serious conversation about moving up to FBS when you have not done sh*t in either the FCS or DII (with the exception of one Natty that came down to a play that included several missed tackles and missed illegal blocks)!! MSU was to have come to Fargo last Fall on a 1-1 return trip. We went there several years ago, and Fargo was their end of the bargain. As for the second bolded subject, just what is it the UND is doing "well" in football?! Laughable really!!! Also, I can't wait for this UND FBS move, because it will allow for at least a couple of things both NDSU and UND have been wanting. For UND, NDSU would be more than happy to give UND its desired annual game, switching between Fargo and Grand Spoons. For NDSU, it will provide our annual FBS game, along with basically a guarenteed FBS win on our record (and I am sure a substantial payout). It's a perfect world!! /purple

BSA? Quite awhile, not gonna deny that, but the time it took has more to do with economy and other projects NDSU was trying to fund with private monies. It has nothing to do with the support for our programs. Hell, the weight room that the FB team uses is in there Women's events? If you mean WBB, very few, as they suck, but, Bison fans are pissed about that and made a demand for change, and it had better change quickly or next on the block is our women's AD. Now, compare that to many of your fans who flip their nose up/look down upon your FB program because it is "JV" and or those who would rather watch non-Sioux teams play on TV over their own. A supportive fanbase would help too-->see references here on ss.com that refer to FCS Championships as D1 "JV" that do not "count" as Natty's in their eyes, as opposed to the elusive Natty you have been trying to win for over the last decade in a sport not nearly as popular as football. In short, I really do not think you have the fan support to be successful over the longhaul. That's to bad, but it is what it is. Hockey will always be King at UND, at the expense of football and other sports, and the support those sports get, Plus, the athletes in those sports know it. Flame away, but I'm jussayin!!
