How am I butthurt or being hypocritcal--enlighten me please. As for Hardee being forced to resign, I agree. I am talking about how Faison ... ahem ... handled things with respect to his dealing with Hardee, his DUI, his driving privileges and otherwise. A "verbal" reprimand" with no mention of it to the press or otherwise?!?! Give me a break already. Faison has not missed the chance to call a presser when it may shed positive light on UN_ or to poke fun at NDSU (Thing 2011 Natty banner--how completely unprofessional was that btw?!).
-
All I can say is the butthurt is strong with most of you, as is the hypocrisy!! And to say the Faison handled ALL of this properly and professionally is laughable. If you ask "how so', I'll just ask you to place this entire scenario at NDSU and ask yourself (while attempting your very best to be true to yourself) what you would think of how things were handled. Funnny how this all got swept under the rug while most here and all of the media were calling for the head and first child of Travis Beck. It was pretty easy for Faison to attempt to let Hardee's DUI fly under the radar, but he got caught with his pants down later.

Nice substantive retort!! And, BTW, u would be lucky to have RT return IMO. I liked the man and he was a great coach and admin--with integrity.

Or we will just flush more so you can keep drinking the food-colored Kelly green and pink water that really is !@#$-brown. Thanks, may I have another?!

Not necessarily, given my audience here is so holier than tho and believes blindly that UN_ operates with such high and untouchable ethics and morals. Question things rather than being myopic for the sake of comfort in your on your own Kelly green pillow. I've done it with NDSU and was chastised, but that is what it takes sometimes.
-
No, I for one want UN_ to live up to its so-called get in front of things and it's self-promoted transparency standard!!
-
Ask Hardee when last call is!!
-
Yep, run for cover with the bait and switch. Nice try!!
-
And why not?! Not surprised by the cover up?! I can't believe u guys can't see that Faison was soo hoping this would just go away, and, when it didn't, he took "decisive" action!! Ya, right!! He is soo trying to cover his own ass right now--and you know it. My bet, your Prez knew nothing about it until recently, and your entire admin department is--and should be--scrambling right now. I expect an open records request for ALL emails dealing even remotely with this issue by those very same people that are constantly on NDSU's case--like most of you for example. Hurts a bit, doesn't it?!?!
-
Perfect--and expected. Attack the messenger when you don't like the message. Maybe u should apply for the soon-to-be-open AD POSITION at UN_!! Loser!!
-
OMG!! Really?!??! And that surprises you?! Your AD knew about it! The real question is whether he reported it to your Prez! If he didn't, his head should role. If he did, and your Prez didn't keep tabs on things and allowed Hardee to drive players drunk in vehicles rented/owned by UN_, well, then the NDUS had damn well get involved ASAP. Something is amiss at UN_!!
-
Really?? Where is the crack journalism that is Grand Forks. How much more will they protect UN_?! It's full disclosure time, and if your Prez is not ALL OVER THIS, then the NDUS had better well be, because where there is smoke there is more than a dumpster fire. This speaks volumes about what is really likely happening up there!! VOLUMES!! Wow--who woulda thunk--other than me??
-
This is a complete cover up by Faison and the GF media. Don't try to paint it any other way. Faison was sooo hoping the DUI would fly under the radar because he didn't want his buddy Hardde to be under scrutiny, and resultantly putting himself in the same boat. And to argue that Hardee wasn't drunk in Portland and to throw your own dedicated player and dad under the bus for saying he was is pathetic. If not drunk, Y HIT AND RUN?!! I said early on there was more to this, and now all of you want to sugarcoat things. Oh, Faison likes to get out in front of things and be transparent?!?? REALLY?!? His nuts should be on the line right now. I would expect nothing less than a full investigation of UND athletic department right now. Did Faison inform the Prez Of all of this back when Hardee got the DUI?! Also, how in the hell did he not confirm Hardee's driving rights one way or another?! I bet Hardee drive a sponsor car everyday right up to the sports facility!! Your Prez Had better be all over this or things could and should get really bad up there. Oh, guess what?! Bohl's speeding tickets were reported in the media and you guys were and to this day have been all over that!! What say you now?!?! Unreal!! Well, maybe not really!! Live it and enjoy!!
-
Yep, and peeps should apply that theory in more ways than one. Think Travis Beck and your flip flip snow bank thing along with your hazing of teh hockey players!? No on is immune-->jussayin'!!
-
I agree and, along with your points, I will add that the coach is not supposed to be the centerpiece or "trophy wife", the players are. Sure Bohl has gotten recognition, but not because of some college or NFL career; but, rather, because of what his players have done. Not so sure kids are gonna warm up to a coach that is immediately put in the spot light over his players. I just don't see BB coming in as the big man on campus over the players and the players subscribing to it, but that is just me, and I know nothing about football.

Not at all trying to speculate or troll here, but in this day and age, an employer, whether public or private, is basically bound legally to allow an employee with CD problems to undergo treatment as a means to rectify things. That's why I don't think this was only an ETOH thing, if at all. The internal review results may have been the gravemen for Hardee, much like the Hinterstocker deal. Kids are different these days, and male coaches don't always mesh well with young female athletes. Heck, Hinterstocker had a good thing going at SU. Gotta wonder if feelings/emotions of players played a role here, cuz Hardee sure seemed to be doing a lot right to me.
-
My bad there, but was anything seen in performance suggestive of something going on behind scene?
-
I thought SUU was team that knocked UND out of tourney in 3. Maybe I misread--wasn't trying to be dink.
-
Did we see the results of other issues with the immediate loss to SUU?! Ya gotta wonder!!??

One has to think there was more than just possible alcohol consumption, unless this isn't the first time an alcohol issue has come up with home. There just has to be way more to this story. Yellowknife seems to know something, and I don't think s/he is a Bison fan, at least that I can tell.
-
And a defense to the criminal charge of resisting or fleeing is that the cops did not have a legal right to arrest you in the first place. That's exactly why TB was givne a very minor sentence for that charge--he pleaded guilty to it btw.
-
Well, there is always the open records requests for emails that can be made once the hiring process is completed. I would guess that will come from someone, and will likely shed some light on what was happening behind the scenes. Like I have said, tho, there is nothing illegal or wrong about contacting potential candidates that you are interested in. In fact, I think the concept of due diligence dictates that Faison/his stagg do so for the sake of getting the best HFBC that UND can get.
-
I would be flabbergasted to learn that Faison has not been talking to people interested in the job but that have yet to apply. There is not law against that. Many legit coaches these days have agents/lawyers representing them in this type of process, and conversations could be of the "what if this" "then that" type. For example, if BB is interested, his agent might be discussing possible salaries, incentives and commitments to long term viability of the program IF he were to app. These conversations happen all time. I mean the mere fact that Faison stated that UND was going to "conduct a national search for a new HFBC" tells us, or at a minimum, implies that UND is not only accepting applications, but also conducting its own search. Phlugrad's application could very well have been a result of pre-app talks. Not saying a deal is done, but what he/his agent were told may have been enough for him to apply and see what happens. Faison might even have told him to apply to keep the process going. My .02. Oh, and btw, I knew who he was. I was just messing with you guys.

Thanks, figured that out after a bit more reading. Man, he would come with some questions given the off-field player problems UM went through with him at the helm. December 10th isn't very far away. My guess is that we have yet to see the name of the coach you hire yet. Lot's of "behind closed doors" contacts/discussions are certainly being made/happening IMO.
