  1. I think the squat video is the most impressive actually.

    pop quiz

    Lost there in 2000.
  3. That is yet to be determined isn't it?
  4. My points were supported by NoDakFan. Make it first come first serve and the students intermingled with the "private" lot. Make the students part of the game. It is their University just as much as it is any of ours. In fact one could make the argument that it is more about them than anyone else. Bubba is doing the right type of thing by reaching out to the students personally. Having the athletes thank people personally. When you make a connection with somebody it makes it personal and people tend to be more loyal. Obviously the continued improvement of the team helps tremendously. More so than any of the previously mentioned items.
  5. David, I think you are missing the point... Especially the part about the students. They feel like they are just put off to the side... I have literally heard this from many of them myself. Additionally I played in the early 2000's and they didn't sell reserved spots when the al first opened... In fact I know of many parents who would get up extra early to get a "good" spot for tailgating... And quite frankly, they were ousted in favor of a huge tent. They are members of the Champions Club too... Oh and about the $50 spots... Sure... There would be backlash... From the people who don't show up consistently or during the cold months. But they are just the fair-weather fans anyway... What about the people who show up every home game? Wouldn't you want to make sure they are excited and want to come tailgate? Instead of again feeling like they are just out in the middle of nowhere with 10-20 spots in-between them and the next people there? I have been to quite a few "Big Time" college football games and I can always remember paying for parking... But I don't remember ever having to deal with a reserved spot for tailgating... Just my .02
  6. David... Why have a "private" lot in the first place? I understand having "paid" parking spots. But why not have the students mixed in with the general population? Honestly I think that the general population would be open to it. Additionally why have "reserved spots" I am sure you have seen people rolling up to the game and driving through all of the tailgaters just to show up minutes before kickoff... While this seems okay on the surface. It really takes away from the experience when it is november and the people who actually want to get there early and tailgate have to be spread out across the parking lot with many spaces in-between... At least if they could all huddle together it would be a bit more comfortable.

Can anybody snap a couple of pictures or something to see how it is shaping up?

    IPF Status

Has anyone been by there recently? They must have made some significant progress by now I would assume.
  9. Hey SiouxFan97 I f'ing busted my ass for those "garbage bags." I like the banners honoring the conference and national championship we have won in the past. Deal with it.
  10. Yeah you are right... Load the boys up Bubba, NewUNDAlum says we don't have a chance. No reason to even play the game. ? Your attitude leads me to believe you were connected to the Muss teams for some reason.
  11. Getting the game to be played again was the most important thing in my book... Now we just have to prove it on the field again...
  12. Geaux_Sioux, you keep referring to how this was such a great team building event. Or how it isn't a bad thing etc etc etc.(pussification) It's simply the fact that these kids shouldn't have to do that, nor do they want to do it. If you don't think that having to do that had a negative effect on the players you are not as close to them as you imply. Name one other school in the country at the D1 level that had have their student athletes shovel the entire field... There isn't one... Don't kid yourself that these kids don't talk to other players from other schools. It would go something like this... "Dude, we had to shoveling the f---ing snow off the field today just to practice..." Then their buddy that plays at Northern Illinois for instance says... "Thats seriously f---ed up man... You should look into coming down here!" Thats just a simple example that I totally made up... But the fact that nobody else in the country has to do that is enough for me... Its a simple matter of being on the same playing field and treating the athletes as well if not better than your competitors. Hell, I didn't have to do it when I was playing there... I would be willing to bet you didn't either.
  13. Take this thread down. People are always all over the su people why they are around. This is poking them and asking for it. Why? What good is this?
  14. That was also for people willing to donate $300-$500 each. You would have a significantly large number of people if that dollar amount could be lower.
  15. Maybe you missed the part where I said to run it through UND somehow... That being said, If they can provide a replica jersey then they should be able to provide other things in return as well... The thing about some of the crowd sourcing sites is that you can see where it is at and how much more until the project is funded... If anybody is not understanding what I am talking about go check out www.kickstarter.com... I don't see why they couldn't have some larger things you get in return for a larger commitment as well for those that would be able to afford that as well. Overall maybe I just feel like it would be more successful to get some participation out of the younger crowd... I know most likely many of my former teammates would be more open to this... It is better than seeing 701-777-xxxx show up on the caller id and just hitting ignore because you don't want another person asking for money. I know that sounds harsh but it is reality.
  16. That's true about the tax deduction piece. However, if there was some sort of sweet exclusive hooded sweatshirt or something like that for say $100 I would personally forgo the tax deduction knowing that I was getting a awesome hoody that nobody else can get. Heck maybe you could even get a local place to donate the embroidering. Maybe they could profit $60-70 off that.
  17. That way you don't have to front the entire $350-$500 if you can afford it.
  18. Nobody liked the crowd-sourcing idea? I know that I would personally put in on it. You could have different levels where in return you could get different things in return. Authentic jerseys, signed photos from the team etc. Maybe if you put in enough you could have season tix too. Just another ave to get interest and funding.
  19. Why can't there be some sort of crowd-funding thing put together where you only pay the amount committed if a certain goal is reached? i.e. something similar to Kickstarter etc. Doesn't have to be on one of those sites, maybe something internal through the Champions Club. That way everybody that commits $'s to go towards Uni's makes sure that the money actually goes towards new Uni's... I feel like more people would be willing to commit dollars... Just a random thought. Maybe I am totally wrong.
  20. I don't believe that is correct. I am almost certain that summer workouts are "optional" meaning that you don't need to be enrolled. I very well could be wrong on that. But they would need to live off campus.
  21. Honestly Don't expect him to try and get hired either… That is his personality… "Hey if somebody is going to pay me $175k to sit around… Sign me up!" His personality rubbed off on his athletes too… In my opinion of course…
  22. What did he have to say?
  23. What we need is some Dogs Weak! or Weak Force Zone Blitzing!!
  24. I believe the word you were looking for is regressed...
