I heard that Pryor said at booster luncheon that team just wanted to watch on own. They had watch party last year. He also said on wednesday coach's show that a few weeks ago he told the team they would not accept a NIT bid. His argument was that we are here to go to the dance and the girls had missed plenty of school. Called it "not inviting tourney" or something like that. Now would Faison make them play in NIT especially if we got to host?

When I first saw the Smith hit I thought it was an interference. Then when the player was injured I thought he got hit in head. Then I saw replay and that wasn't true. Then boarding was called when the player never hit the boards. Then I saw the replay on this site (since tv only showed once) and realized Smith wasn't even looking in the direction of the player. He literally was reacting to being run into.

I agree completely, but this generation of kids / players doesn't seem to have that attitude anymore. College football quarterbacking carousel is a prime example. Why they pick a team with two 5 star qbs already on team is beyond me. Go somewhere and be the star.

I saw the menu and I am excited to try Shepard's pie. Can't believe no one in town serves that.

I'm not worried about champions club being free. Not many get multiple freebies to bring everyone in family. I watch a lot of people pay in line. I have feeling south dakota schools will be pay to watch as well. And I think most (like me) are much more likely to buy concessions or beer or a program knowing they didn't pay to get into game. Speaking of program, I wish there was an insert with more stats and that it was updated for the Saturday matches.

While obviously the easiest path is the best, but I wanted Idaho again. We never seem to play well there and I want us to bury them tomorrow. Been watching volleyball for a while, but dang if things don't turn around in a hurry. We brought back everyone from last year and this tourney is not a cake walk like it was for us last year.

Too many of us message board people live in the basketball world of 10... heck 5 years ago. Times have changed with the grad transfer. Players always think of themselves better than they are. They are always looking for the Bigger Better Deal (BBD). They love being recruited and whooed. It's very easy with summer school to be ahead to graduate and players don't go home over summer anymore. Facts are that Jones has managed to grab some Minnesota / Iowa players that have no business being at the a low mid major like us. I appreciate a player like Hooker so much for doing what he did for 4 years. But that isn't most players. Crandel lit up summer league playing with some pros. He's special. Let's enjoy, because he may not be here next year. Now absolutely I think he should stay and continue to dominate and put up huge numbers. He will get noticed. But the NBA draft is only 2 rounds and free agency / D league is tough and it always looks better when you're having to break into a tougher lineup and play a tougher schedule if you want to move on after college.

Geno is high risk to leave. Hearing he wants to go pro though.

Crooked Pint is now open even after that fire a couple weeks ago. Not sure if they are full hours yet.

It's funny how recently we were hoping for a 1000. On Thursday when I went I was disappointed because wasn't as busy in the lobby and I guess only like 1350 were there. I think next year we will be averaging over 1500 and have more than just the fargo school as an over 2000 attended game. However it will be interesting to see how attendance does if we struggle with losing 4 starters.

Anything come out on Griffin? Noticed pre-grame she seemed to be favoring knee / leg, but then jogged into locker room so I'm lost. I'm glad Mattson has gotten a chance and played well (not great). She's athletic and gets to a lot of balls defensively. However hate to see a senior miss their last home games.

Team looked rough. I don't like calling out specific players, but one front row player had way too many hitting errors and an all around player had a rough day. it happens and Pryor has a reason to be mad as we haven't been playing well. Last week wasn't good and tonight was worse. In reality it's that we get stuck in certain rotations and teams have figured out who can't receive a serve. Now to my actual rant. Pryor is very quick with certain players to pull them. Think of Vail last year and early this year. Tonight he waited a long time and pulled the one all around for a freshman. She got a bad set behind her and hit it out. So he pulled her. Not good for confidence. Mistakes do happen. However, the front row player struggling never got pulled even though someone like Johnson from Roseau could've gone in. She played all season early and now hasn't been in for a long time. Also brings up my other gripe. Our 3 year backup setter Mattson has played 2 sets all year. Could make for a long year next year with no experience even though we've had plenty blow out matches.

1258 was announced which is good for timing of it all. That's probably higher than what we averaged last year.

How about EWU having 30 attack errors! That's over a set right there. They finished with .000 hitting percentage. Dooley was dominant. While we played better this match there were still stretches that were off. Like in 3rd set when we gave u I think 8 straight points after being up 9-4.

Wasn't it Utah St? However wherever was listed as being the school he was transferring to I have now heard he is going somewhere else like in Cali.

I think it's an unfortunate Big Sky issue. It seems the last few years our VB was home at the same time as FB every time. I know my tailgating crew (except 1) skips VB.

Vail has hops for being a middle so I'm not worried there. She can block and that's all you really need out of a middle. We've just been spoiled with Dooley. The schedule though. Tough. Something like 10 matches in 8 or 9 days and through how many states? 5? won't be easy. I also agree that Mattson needs reps.

Stopped at Ralph yesterday to grab VB tickets for school down road (BTW can't use CC pass for that game) and saw the bins of tickets. Asked and sounds like next week they will start filling envelopes, but probably mailed the following week.

I still contend that the school with bloated ego to und' s south will bail in instant if given invite to another conference. Would SDSU??? How much does that Sioux Falls tourney truly play into their decision?

Other problem is do these guys get extra year but grad transfer?
