Why does an even number make scheduling easier? We don't get to play everyone 4 times like we could with 7. The tourney is the only reason 8 is better.

Wasn't it Cornel a few years ago that had to travel and play at Mariucci for a regional against the Gophers and they hadn't played on olympic ice all year? Very unfair advantage if going back to campus sites. Love the idea (actually said it to buddies this past weekend) but the olympic sheets would have to be disallowed since Frozen Four is on NHL.

You do realize that most of the nation doesn't have ESPN3 right? Wait I'm talkiing to a Bison fan so I already know that answer. Hell most don't have ESPNU. I was fielding calls from all over the country looking for help on the game. I am thankful for Midco having ESPN3 and FSN for picking up the games. No need for me to find it. Just making a statement. And I would bet the UND game had way better ratings. Regular season games for us were drawing damn near 90,000 on NBCSports. I'd really like to know how ratings turn out for these games but I bet ESPN doesn't release that.

Worse 2024. Can't believe that regular season lacrosse had precident to be aired over the NCAA tourney.

Dang it you just beat me to it. I remember the year we lost to Ferris St. at the toilet. Might have been 1000 fans. Plenty of Sioux fans wanted tickets but couldn't get them since sold as package.

I don't get all the worrying about attendance issues in St. Paul. That shouldn't be a reason to put UND there. Shouldn't Gophers as host and in it get plenty of fans for that regional? Now if you want to bring up busing / closest regional excuse...but attendance is not a good argument. Sioux fans travel and Green Bay needs help.

Messes up bracket integrity. UMN is #8 and should be placed in the #1 overall's regional. We are a #4 so by us being placed with umtc it would be punishing other schools by them having to be placed with "tougher" competition.

So I'm doing this off my head but it should be #4 us vs. #13 Cornell and #5 Miami playing #12 Umass-Lowell. Put that in Green Bay. Keep BC out east and send Michigan to St. Paul to try and keep seeds.

Yeah I don't see NCAA telling the #1 overall east coast school that they have to travel half way across the country to end up possibly facing the Gophers on home ice. Therefore Michigan gets screwed in that scenario because we will go to Green Bay where they know we've sent fans. Unless that bus rule comes in for Michigan.

Already re-watched last nights game. Now got the CCHA title game on. What a dead arena. Not even half full. Kinda funny that Gwoz couldn't watch last nights game because Directv went on fritz at the hotel. The beginnning of this game could be ugly. I think it take a period for both to get legs back and the emotion back.

He was saying it with same enthuasim for Gophers (unlike unprofessional Lapanta). I wondered how many fans realized what was going on though that our fans already had an arm cheer to go along with the announcement.
