The other sports you're referring to are swimming and tennis, as stated by UND 92,96. I would think tennis would be much cheaper, but not as many participants. I'm not sure on costs of swimming, but the facilities can be used by many others compared to equestrian.

If Denver is still playing that kind of hockey, they'll have a lot of penalties in the NCAA's. I'm sure the NCAA is going to tell the refs to crack down on that stuff for the tourney. They don't need the embarrassment of last year's title game.

I tried to watch the home opener of the Swarm. Yes there is scoring, but dang it, I could never see the stupid ball. The announcer must have had binoculors. As for the hitting, I didn't see any knock down checks. The guys would bump and just swing their sticks at each other. I was expecting more. I'm guessing it's a sport like hockey that is much better live. It does look like fun to play.

What is needed to make a good sports bar? Great WINGS! I'm a little surprised to see any Cali listings on there. This state isn't great for bars numero uno and even worse for sports bars. I'll try to check out the place in Anaheim tomorrow.

I think you're right that there is no way they won't make the tourney. BUT, they do have the weakest remaining schedule in the WCHA. I believe Wisconsin is their only TUC left. Then if they finish third or higher, they'll be playing another weak opponent in the first round. I get a feally that those PWR numbers will be slipping for them. I just don't see enough teams that will pass them by. Us included.

Actually, you didn't miss anything. INCH reported (their site isn't loading right now) in their WCHA column that FSN only had a tape with the last period, so they didn't show the game. I believe they gave FSN their bench minor or whatever they call it.
