It’s amazing how talented this team is. I tend to focus on the D core when watching games and I think, “I loved how JBD, made that little head fake or shoulder drop to get the defender to bite and over commit in order to generate space to get off that shot; I’m going to try that later in my beer league game.” And then I’m out there on the ice and I can’t possibly replicate what someone like JBD (or insert any other UND D man’s name here) actually did! But it’s fun to mentally think these things as I’m watching! Kinda like what you think about if you won the lottery.

Carter Savoie for DU got hurt late in the game. Looked serious too. Had to be taken down to the locker room by the trainer.

Perfect write up. Couldn’t agree more. Textbook interference on Omaha down the stretch there and the refs had been calling that all night both ways so they stayed consistent.

He may or may not have sold it but the intent of the Omaha player clearly indicated he was trying to interfere with Hain. Regardless, nice gutty win!

That’s about as obvious of an interference as they come!

CC’s power play has been so bad this season that even though they might be making one too many passes, I do like how they appear to have gone “back to basics” by working the puck around and up to the points for shots. Now, if we could only take away Chrona’s eyes, some of those point shots might go in.

CC has been buzzing this period but yah, DU looked like they were sleep walking the first 17 minutes.

Omaha should have a pretty high level of desperation in their game as they’re sitting kinda low in the upper echelon of the rankings. A win or two against us would serve them well to solidify a tournament spot. That said, there’s still a lot on the line for UND as well, like a potential #1 seed. Not to mention, pride, which UND teams always have a lot of.

Perhaps but I’ve watched almost as many CC games as I have UND games and you can really tell the difference in talent between the top half teams in the conference and CC.
