  1. 1. Denver (By a country mile. The wine and cheese club of the NCHC. Bunch of rich, entitled elitists (like CC, only successful). Just read their articles on letsgodu about UND sometime and you too will hate ‘em) 2. Minnesota (Arrogant pr*cks think they invented the game and nobody else has the right to be good at it) 3. St. Cloud (Haven’t won anything on a national scale but have the worst fans who seem to have a hard on for UND. The sorest winners) 4. Duluth (Drunken mouth breathers and the worst tv play by play guys in all of college hockey) Honorable Mention: BC, Quinnipiac, any and all B1G programs
  2. 2-1, CC in the third. Tigers buzzing all around the SCSU goalie, Wilkie hit the post (again).
  3. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4925985-UND-defenseman-Andrew-Peski-talks-senior-year-speaking-French-and-more?fbclid=IwAR3JwZI_683gxvUI-t_9sI088ViiMaGWiBS-m7j-RFhEhTtnjkyd-tNud_E I always liked Jordan Kawaguchi but now knowing that he likes to blast heavy metal before games, I think he’s become my new hero!
  4. Duluth up 1-0 on Omaha after one. C’mon Mavericks!
  5. Ha Ha! When Ken Landau introduces Haviland, should I yell, “SIOUX YAH! YAH!”???
  6. Attending the Mike Haviland radio show at Old C’s. This oughta be interesting...
  7. Congrats to the Chiefs for their championship victory!
  8. DU is wearing their candy striper uniforms tonight.
  9. Totally agree. I think Alex and Jake make a great team. I also appreciate how they’re willing to acknowledge good play of UND’s opponent, whoever that might be. As a Tiger season ticket holder, I don’t share Alex or Jake’s enthusiasm of Mike Haviland and the so-called turnaround he’s manufactured. But that said, both of these guys are knowledgeable of the game and I love Alex’s enthusiasm whenever UND scores a goal or our goalie makes a big save. Plus, both guys are very diplomatic of UND’s opponents. Class acts.
  10. Two seasons ago, CC played their Canadian exhibition game up there somewhere in Summit County. I believe it was in Breckinridge.
  11. CC has typically played pretty good hockey in the first period. It’s the second period where things usually fall apart from them. Coach Haviland called his squad a mentally fragile group following last Saturday’s defeat at home against Omaha.
  12. Agreed. I was fortunate enough to attend a Beanpot-the one in 2009 where BU had that monster season and won everything they played for-and it’s such a fun, intense atmosphere. It deserves to be showcased to a broader audience.
  13. He is. They put him on the left point, to set him up for the big one-timer from the top of the circle.
  14. This coincides with Wilkie cutting off the mullet he’d been growing the first half of the season. Awfully suspicious behavior IMO. I think this is impeachable evidence.
  15. https://www.uscho.com/2020/01/30/as-search-for-a-new-hockey-east-commissioner-pushes-forward-might-the-future-of-hockey-east-be-in-peril/?fbclid=IwAR3TRtU2pA71Yhy3XdipHGx9V7u7Yf4MXrPnOpElDFiYxnQVeQXxRXq2u7k Wow....this could be potentially big news.
  16. Wilkie’s two-way game is suspect too. Been to enough games this season and last (before his injury) to see that he loafs when getting back the other direction. He seems less interested in playing in the D zone than the O zone.
  17. CC goalie Ryan Ruck has been hurt lately so Matt Vernon-Mike Vernon’s kid-has been starting every game as of late. You may recall Ruck was the goalie for Northeastern in the 2016 national tournament. We put up 6 on him that afternoon.
  18. He’s got a shoot first mentality for sure. Ever since he arrived two seasons ago, Haviland has said he has an NHL caliber shot and the hardest shot on the team. CC puts him on the off wing D so they can set him up for the big Ovechkin one-timer. Problem is, they go to that well so often, teams have scouted them and have adjusted their PK to that.
  19. Haviland’s been splitting them up. He did so most recently against Omaha. Haviland said in his post game interview on Saturday that the team is very fragile right now. He ain’t kidding; after blowing a first period 3-0 lead on Friday, they went out with a whimper on Saturday evening. Wilkie gets visibly irritated out there on the ice so UND can definitely get in his head if they limit his time and space. Third period against Omaha, down 3-1, Wilkie rings one off the crossbar and the puck goes out of play. Wilkie slams his stick against the end boards and the Omaha players chirped him pretty good. From then on, he was basically non-existent out there. As an aside, I saw Wilkie ring iron twice last weekend. I don’t recall any player who’s hit the post more times in his career than Wilkie. Ironically, he rang iron 3 times in a 3-1 loss at CC his sophomore season.
  20. You know that tripping call on Adams was weak when even the Duluth tv announcers had a problem with that call! To their credit, the thought that was a pretty ticky tack call.
  21. How many decades has Doc Brown been mayor now?
  22. We need the General Steph Pattyn to come hold a player’s only meeting and crack some skulls!
  23. CC took a page out of UND’s playbook by getting outscored 6-1 after building a 3-0 lead.
