LOL! Since I just went back to GF for the CC series a few weeks ago, I doubt the boss will give me another hall pass!

A motivational message if it helps any…. I remember UND clinching the McNaughton Cup on a Friday night way back in 1997. The next night, DU absolutely blew the doors open on us and beat us bad, like 7-1 or something. I know because I was there-at that crappy old airplane hanger arena. UND went on to win the Final Five and the Frozen Four. Moral of the story-the book for this year’s UND team isn’t finished being written.

My wife has been saying this for a few weeks now…that she doesn’t want CC playing DU. Not that she thinks they’ll beat UND but DU just absolutely man handles the Tigers.

I like your optimism. Don’t think CC can muster a point let alone a goal. Tigers have been outscored 16-0 thus far against DU.

I synched up Hennessy’s broadcast on iHeart radio with the television broadcast so I don’t have to listen to the Omaha guys.

Looks like Hellsten getting the start tonight according to the line chart posted on the North Dakota hockey FB page.

I think Miami has better goaltending despite thinking Basse is a more than capable goaltender. CC’s play in the defensive zone is not good. CC is a small team and they don’t do well with regards to board work, which is one of UND’s specialties.

I think when they got into some penalty trouble, that by itself resulted in a shortened bench and therefore the penalty killers probably didn’t have a whole lot in the tank. At least this is my impression from Coach Berry’s post game comments with Hennessy.

So I wasn’t able to watch the game last night. Anyone have any thoughts on anything UND can shore up for tonight’s game? Did UND play pretty well over all last night? Anything that they could change up? Just curious to get everyone’s thoughts on how the team performed. Thanks.

DU just won 5-0, so they are now 3 points behind. (I know, thank you captain obvious)

Can someone explain this to me? We’re up by 6 now but DU will likely win so we’ll only be up by 3. What happens if we lose tomorrow and DU wins? Then we’re tied and share the league title?

As a CC fan and season ticket holder, I am literally embarrassed at how bad the television production has been at the new venue. It was bad at World Arena but I kindof gave them a pass for that knowing the new arena would be built. I fully expected the tv production to pick up at Robson but unfortunately it hasn’t improved.

The only other video production worse than Omaha’s is CC’s. There ought to be a minimum standard across the board for all league programs. Like@stoneySIOUX mentioned, I’ll take a bad production over no production at all. That being said, one of the first requests I’d have for the incoming commissioner would be to set a minimum uniform standard for all league members and their television production. As paying subscribers I think they owe us that.

This weekend, will the UND games be televised locally in GF?

Yah I was listening to a podcast with Schloss and he said something about ever since Miami got blown out by St. Cloud, they’ve picked up points in 6 of their last 8 games so definitely are playing better hockey. Also helps having Ludvig Persson in net for them as well.

I’ll be at tomorrow night’s CC/DU game with UND colors on underneath my CC gold, hoping for a miracle. I remember Alex Leclerc with a 50 save performance against DU at Magness and CC stealing a victory one time so I’m hanging onto that as hope they can take at least 3 points this weekend.

Northeastern lost this afternoon to Vermont. That’s a crushing loss for the Huskies. They likely have to win the HE tournament to get in.
