I can't knock Anas for anything during the FF or the national tournament in general. Did you guys see the hit that was laid on him in that game against Harvard? I give him full props for hangin in there and playing as much as he could.

Just one guy's opinion-yah, QU hit some posts and had a few opportunities and the score was close for two periods but to me, it felt like so many times when a less talented team hangs around for a bit but as the game wears on, the talent and depth of the other team simply takes over. Coming into the game I was nervous simply based on all the success and accolades thrown at Quinnipiac, and for good reason-they're a great hockey team. However, it didn't take me or I'm sure many other viewers, long to determine that this game was UND's to lose.

DU seems like the logical school for the BIG to invite-academically, they fit the BIG profile, I believe DU has the largest endowment of the member NCHC schools, the Denver market seems to fit the large market profile that the conference seems to like, and DU is really strong in lacrosse which would be another good addition to BIG lacrosse.

I wonder what UND winning the national championship does regarding conversation of joining the BIG?

I wonder if games like this and Las Vegas in a few years serve as recruiting tools?

Just got two tickets in sec 104 row 14. This is Kate's and my honeymoon. Man, I'm lucky to have such a cool fiancé! She was never a big hockey fan let alone UND fan and she's always way cool about taking hockey trips! And she enthusiastically cheers for UND even though she's a CC Tiger!

Question: did anyone listen to Tim Hennessy's montage after the championship game and post-game interviews? They put together a collection of play-by-plays from over the course of the season set to music. I really liked the song but have no clue the name of the song or artist but would like to buy it on iTunes. Would anyone be able to help me? It was kind of a poppy song. Please help this metal head, I'd really appreciate it!

Danton Heinen leaving DU has gotta hurt. Had he stayed all four years, he would've been on pace to score almost 190 points. That guy got bigger and stronger over his past two seasons and is ready for the next level. Best of luck to him with the Bruins organization and I say this with the utmost respect for him-as a CC and UND fan, I'm glad he's gone! What a great player.

Did anyone hear the Caggiula interview this morning on the NHL Network Stellick and Simmer show? It was awesome. When Caggiula isn't dropping F bombs on air, he's very articulate and mature!

I saw Boeser do this in Vermont. UND was on a power play and Boeser was on the point and dove to stop a clearing attempt, collected the puck and fed (I believe) Schmaltz for a goal. The Vermont fans were in awe.

Would it be x-rated to call them "The Money Shot"?

I seem to recall Bochenski was originally set to go to Minnesota but lost his scholarship after he got in trouble. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but that's my recollection.

I haven't bothered to hear what Dubay had to say, only know what I've read here but to me, it seems like Dubay is simply trying to do a couple of things in his attack of UND: throw some red meat to his Gopher faithful and bait UND fans into a verbal spat to help his own ratings. I'd say the best comeback would be to not acknowledge the whiny comments from a guy who, frankly, lacks any credibility. He should get his own house in order before bomb throwing others. Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I have a co-worker who's a St. Cloud alum. It never fails, whenever they beat UND or CC, my phone blows up with text messages showing screen shots of the box score. But if his team loses, I never hear a peep from him. A few weeks ago, he sent me an article to the SC Times after the Huskies won the Frozen Faceoff, as if I did t know they had won. So many friends have asked if I returned the favor when St Cloud got bounced by Ferris or when UND won the championship and I just said no-that would be a d*ck move on my part and bad karma. Plus, I'm sure he's pretty well aware of who won those games without my help.

I think DU has the right idea-they have the large banners for National championships but then a single smaller banner to represent the conference tournament championships won with the year on it.

Living in Denver, I'm just glad I won't be receiving any calls from my colleagues who are Pios fans (they like to call me up whenever they beat North Dakota) and rub it in.

Most of you guys and gals know I'm a CC Tiger fan AND a UND fan. I had that "here we go again" feeling as well as some of you and said so to my gf. She, being somewhat new to college hockey, said similar encouraging words about keep the faith, plenty of time to regain the lead, etc. she being primarily a Tiger fan, she wasn't nearly as nervous as I was but when Buchigross asked out loud, "who will score the goal of their lifetime?" late in the third period, Kate said, "Schmaltz, that's who!" and at that moment it gave me some levity and brought a smile to my face. Am I naive enough to think Kate has super human predictive powers? -No. But her positivity in light of my pessimism really helped me deal with such a stressful period. So proud of the boys and grateful UND has the most passionate fans, bar none, in all of college hockey if not all of college sports.
