I don't think that would be an issue. They aren't going to put 11,000 people in the building so they could just not sell seats in that area.

I talked to a guy that played on the UW club team about the same time that this article was written and asked him about D1 hockey. He said unless there was someone that wanted to pony up a LOT of money, it wasn't likely to happen. Two of the arenas - in Everett and Kent - aren't realistic for UW to use. Kent is way too far from campus (25-30 miles and brutal traffic) and Everett isn't much closer. Both arenas have CHL teams that play there so scheduling could be difficult. Key Arena is pretty close to campus but I think it would be expensive to rent.

After DU tied it, I was thinking that we always win when we are up after two periods, and we will win this game. I will admit I was a tad nervous, but still confident. There was a kid sitting next to me that cheered real hard for DU and the look on his face when Schmaltz scored was priceless.

They played great and had lots of puck luck that they hadn't had in quite a few FFs. Lots of great play by everyone for 200'.

A little late to the party but wanted to share some thoughts...I can't begin to tell you how much fun Tampa was. I had been to four FFs when UND played and hadn't seen them win a single game! I really didn't expect them to play as well as they did throughout the year, but when they got to the regional and the FF it was pretty clear that they were on a mission. About 10 minutes into the championship game I knew that the talent and depth would beat QU. I said to my wife about 5 minutes into the 3rd "so this is what a national championship feels like". It was so much fun seeing them win, and the party after! Next year in Chicago - #9!
