  1. I agree and I love watching him out on the ice get under the other team's skin.
  2. That is definitely debatable, but Ballard is really dangerous on the power play for sure.
  3. Wouldn't be a bad idea to put some money on Duluth and "hedge" that with some money of North Dakota.
  4. They obviously favor offensive defensemen.
  5. I have to believe that it is probably costing them more money to keep the players in Grand Forks for the whole week, than it would to bus them home and then back again. They are not traveling far and I feel that allowing them to practice in our own rink would give them an advantage of getting a better feel for the rink and a better comfort level of playing in it.
  6. I agree with you on this point. Interesting to see the story on ESPN regarding Bertuzzi. They ran down some of the more famous incidents like this one and the suspensions that followed. I found it very interesting to see that Tony Granato himself hit a Blackhawks player with a slash across the head. I believe he received around 15 games for that.
  7. I agree that fighting will continue to have its place in hockey, but I'm not sure how you can put an end to the "enforcer" position. How would this exactly be done? I don't think you actually have to officially designate a guy on your team as the "enforcer", therefore I'm not sure how you wuold eliminate these guys from the game.
  8. Are these the same as SIOUX hockey cards?
  9. Exactly, most of these players are from outside of ND and adding a committee to decide on a case by case basis of people who do not meet the criteria will only ignite arguments of, "he got admitted only because he is a hockey player".
  10. Your post definitely sums up my feelings towards Chuck.
  11. anyone else with a Fargo Sioux Boosters update?
  12. I'm not an Alford fan, but if Iowa gets rid of him, they will bring in a big name coach or someone with championship experience.
  13. Turn on your tv, its been on ESPNews all day long.
  14. I guess some of the coaches are just sick of Blais and UND winning. Thanks for the recap
  15. McDermott is not going to take Alford's place at Iowa. Iowa State could be a different story, but he will not be bumping Alford out anytime soon.
  16. yeah, I like that one great ideas again
  17. I would have to agree with this. Greg Johnson and Jeff Panzer had great years, but didn't win. I remember the won year Johnson's detractors said that numbers were not everything. I wonder if these same people are going to vote for Parise this year, even though he doesn't lead the NCAA in scoring, since numbers aren't everything.
  18. What a goon. I hope he gets suspended for a long time.
  19. I'm glad they got the child psychologists involved in this, that makes me feel better.
  20. I agree, it got annoying and old in a hurry.
  21. All the teams share in the ticket revenue and most of them wouldn't ever be in favor of this because they know it would definitely hurt the bottom line and the size of the check they receive at the end of the year.
  22. Blais said this morning on Tim and Swyg's show that even if the puck didn't go in, the Sioux hadn't caught a break like that all year and they had several apparent goals waved off during the course of the season, therefore it kind of evens it out a little.
  23. I would have to say Murray.
  24. I was thinking the same thing when he was performing like that.
  25. The trumpet guy was fun at the beginning, but It will grow old in a quick hurry.
