No. He’s received an offer from UND, NDSU and UNI but he isn’t committed. Yeah I think he likely will receiver interest/offers from bigger programs but do what you can.
-
I’m not sure the best thread to put this in so I’m just going to put it here…. There’s two high schoolers in Fargo that this coaching staff needs to be all over this year and next. Do whatever it takes to convince Mason Klabo (2025) and Jeremiah Sem (2024) to come north. I’m a bit surprised Sem hasn’t drawn more interest after the state championship run (I know it’s just North Dakota but it was still impressive) and then some of the monster dunks he’s had lately.
-
It wasn’t surprise. He committed a week ago or so. One spot to fill. If Tyree is eligible, I would prioritize a shooter as people have mentioned many times. If you can’t find a shooter, go find a talented under the radar freshman that’s still available late in the game like Elijah Brooks was. Easier said than done, sure.

I think NDSU will be there because Richman has shown year in and year out he will have his squad competing for the SLT championship but if Nelson doesn’t return I would put SDSU as the favorite. As you mention though, the league is certainly more wide open than it has been in the past.

It sure feels like UND is trying to go the Gonzaga route where the official nickname, Bulldogs, is secondary to the unofficial nickname, Zags.
-
I think they’re different style player. Johnson was getting more offers it appears. Amar I think filled a bigger need.
-
Smart move by Sather. See Johnson post his commitment to other school and then send the gif out lol. Would think this is Amar. Be a nice rebounding presence of the bench.
-
Believe we’ve moved on.
-
It is a bit different time than Nash but there’s also been rumors they were going to crack down on 2nd time transfers.
-
I’m not saying King is a “true PG” but was Trent either? I wouldn’t say he was an extraordinary passer.
-
While I’d prefer him to stay, with the the recent additions we will be okay. He might have been off the bench at this point anyways. Still sucks though but yeah use the two open scholarships wisely.
-
Wouldn’t you say T is more of a 4? Shooting and rim protector are 1a and 1b for me.
-
I would classify Tyree as a PG.
-
You could be right. I wonder if Ihenacho would be eligible lol
-
With today’s news, I might slide Tyree into the starting 1 spot, assuming he gets a waiver. I think a lot of people believe King wouldn’t have came here without a guarantee he’s starting but idk. He will still get plenty of run.
-
I’m excited. I think the kid just got some bad advice a few years ago thinking he could go play for the Gophers or a school like that. I don’t blame kids if they’re transferring up.

Trent Johnson.
-
Maybe @UND-SPORTS-FANwas onto something?…. Jk

It may have been known already or previously mentioned but looks like Creighton Mitchell is hanging the cleats up. Makes sense, really wish it would have worked out but wish him the best in the future!

I edited it after @GoodGood mentioned that.

5th Year Brady Danielson Tsotne Tsartsidze Senior Jalun Trent Junior Deng Mayar Brian Mathews Sophomore BJ Omot Treysen Eaglestaff Eli King Elijah Brooks Freshman Daniel Hong (RS walk-on) Ryan Erikson Anthony Doppler Matthew Bothun (sounds like walk-on to start) Zach Kraft (walk-on) So we have 11 scholarship guys and 3 walk-ons right now. 2 open scholarships still. I assume Bothun’s would turn into a scholarship his second year so assuming no one unexpected leaves, we would have 2 scholarships to work with for the following year as well.

Did UND ever offer? I never saw anything other than it was said he was supposed to be visiting. I’m a big fan of his game though.
