0-2 at home vs. Idaho State and 4-1 on the road. Last L came in Pocatello but after a dramatic big win at the Alerus over Cal Poly. Year before came after a dramatic road win vs Sam Houston and we lost at home to ISU. Those Idaho State teams finished 6-5 and 3-9.

Well finally cooled down from the sun yesterday and took a scroll through this thread on the way home from Ames. Overall, we can’t be that mad with that game, right? I get no moral victories and we have to start thinking we are going to win these things but all things considered I’m feeling okay with how this season will go. Lots of positives but negatives to go along with it. The o-line is one of the huge positives. We had no idea what to expect and I’d say they showed a lot of potential especially with the push on the run game. Loved the center puking on the ball . Simon. He was too conservative. Maybe he was told to be since the QB room is thin now or maybe the reads just weren’t there. I’m not against the horizontal passing game but we have to add some verticality. I have mixed feelings on what’s going through Trey’s head. Maybe he has something lined up at the D2 level where he can likely start right away or after a couple weeks and then if he performs well, he can transfer up, if D1 is the goal. On the other hand, yeah you just lost a QB battle but to another unproven kid. I think there was a high chance he was going to get playing time and if he performed well he could take the job. Now maybe he just saw Simon lighting it up and realized he didn’t have a chance. I don’t know, best of luck to Trey unless we play him.
